Explaining Hierarchical Multi-linear Models
2019We are interested in the explanation of the solution to a hierarchical multi-criteria decision aiding problem. We extend a previous approach in which the explanation amounts to identifying the most influential criteria in a decision. This is based on an influence index which extends the Shapley value on trees. The contribution of this paper is twofold.

The Hierarchical Normal Linear Model
1992In this Chapter one more restriction to the normal model of Chapter 6 will be imposed: linearity in the parameters. Within this model most all standard situations involving severity, pure premiums, or loss ratios can be handled. The only reasonable case that cannot be handled is the Poisson model for frequency. This will be covered in Chapter 9.
