Understanding spatial structure from network data : theoretical considerations and applications

open access: yesCybergeo, 1997
In the past decade, analysis of flow data has been of practical concern in most studies dealing with regionalization and transportation land-use problems.

The impact of positive lifestyle behaviors on direct healthcare cost savings for low back pain

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objective This study aimed to investigate the relationship between a previously purpose‐developed lifestyle behavior scale and healthcare cost savings related to low back pain (LBP). Methods This longitudinal study utilised data from the AUstralian Twin BACK (AUTBACK) study. LBP and lifestyle behavior measures were collected at baseline.

BBGKY Hierarchy and Dynamics of Correlations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We derive the BBGKY hierarchy for the Fermi and Bose many-particle systems, using the von Neumann hierarchy for the correlation operators. The solution of the Cauchy problem of the formulated hierarchy for the case of a n-body interaction potential is ...

Optimized Time–Frequency Analysis for Induction Motor Fault Detection Using Hybrid Differential Evolution and Deep Learning Techniques

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
Workflow of the parameter optimization process for ITSC fault detection, applying Differential Evolution optimization and the Smooth Pseudo Wigner‐Ville Distribution for signal processing. The optimized parameters are then used in the failure identification pipeline, which combines the signal processing with a YOLO‐based architecture for fault severity

Using a Supramolecular Approach to Engineer Modular Hydrogel Platforms for Culturing Protoplasts – from General Tissue Engineering to Cellular Agriculture

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, EarlyView.
Using supramolecular monomers, various hydrogel culture systems were formulated to culture protoplasts; including 2D, 2.5D, and 3D hydrogels. Depending on the culture platform, bioactive functionalization led to protoplast enlargement (2D and 2.5D) or plasmolysis (3D). This work shows the potential to modularly engineer synthetic platforms for cellular

LIN28B Promotes Cancer Cell Dissemination and Angiogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, EarlyView.
Children diagnosed with high‐risk neuroblastoma have a 5‐year event‐free survival rate of less than 50% and poor outcomes after recurrence. Deregulation of the LIN28B oncogene can be addressed in these patients. Upregulation of LIN28B is shown to support the metastatic cascade.
