On the ILW hierarchy [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters A, 2003
In this paper, we present a new hierarchy which includes the intermediate long wave (ILW) equation at the lowest order. This hierarchy is thought to be a novel reduction of the 1st modified KP type hierarchy. The framework of our investigation is Sato theory.

Aceitação e preferência de frutos para oviposição em duas populações de Ceratitis capitata (Diptera, Tephritidae) Acceptance and preference of fruits for oviposition in two Ceratitis capitata (Diptera, Tephritidae) populations

A Hierarchy of Superstrings [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 1994
We construct a hierarchy of supersymmetric string theories by showing that the general N-extended superstrings may be viewed as a special class of the (N+1)-extended superstrings. As a side result, we find a twisted (N+2) superconformal algebra realized in the N-extended string.

Data-Driven Structuring of the Output Space Improves the Performance of Multi-Target Regressors

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
The task of multi-target regression (MTR) is concerned with learning predictive models capable of predicting multiple target variables simultaneously. MTR has attracted an increasing attention within research community in recent years, yielding a variety

Single-cell RNA-seq reveals that glioblastoma recapitulates a normal neurodevelopmental hierarchy

open access: yesNature Communications, 2020
Cancer stem cells are critical for cancer initiation, development, and treatment resistance. Our understanding of these processes, and how they relate to glioblastoma heterogeneity, is limited.

Bidding in hierarchies [PDF]

open access: yesEuropean Economic Review, 2003
This paper reconsiders the comparison between hierarchical contests and single-stage contests. A condition is given that characterizes whether and when the aggregate equilibrium payoff of contestants is higher in the single-stage contest, and when the single-stage contest is more likely to award the prize to the contestant who values it most highly ...
