We all have things we want. Maybe you have a favorite food that you love and wish you could eat everyday. If you were unable to eat that food every day, you would still survive. However, you could not go entirely without food!

In this chapter we will focus on the rules of aggregation hierarchies in analysis dimensions of a cube. We give an overview of the related works on the basic concepts of the different types of aggregation hierarchies. We then discuss the hierarchies from two different points of view: mapping between domain values and hierarchical structures.

Dominance hierarchies (sometimes called "pecking orders") are virtually universal in social species, including humans. In most species and in ancestral and early human societies, these hierarchies allocate scarce resources, including food and often access to females.

Schoning [14] introduced a notion of helping and suggested the study of the class P help (C) of the languages that can be helped by oracles in a given class C. Later, Ko [12], in order to study the connections between helping and witness searching, introduced the notion of self-helping for languages.

This paper attempts to bring together several of Hyman Minsky's insights in order to suggest a relationship between the State's ability to tax and the money of the economy. Minsky recognized that money represents an IOU or promise to pay and that 'acceptability' is its important feature.

The Extended Low Hierarchy is an Infinite Hierarchy
SIAM Journal on Computing, 1992Balcźar, Book, and Schoning introduced the extended low hierarchy based on the σ-levels of the polynomial-time hierarchy as follows: for k≥1, level k of the extended low hierarchy is the set \(EL_k^{P,\sum } = \left\{ {\sum\nolimits_k^P {(A) \subseteq \sum\nolimits_{k - 1}^P {\left( {A \oplus SAT} \right)} } } \right\}\).

Why and When Hierarchy Impacts Team Effectiveness: A Meta-Analytic Integration
Journal of Applied Psychology, 2018Hierarchy has the potential to both benefit and harm team effectiveness. In this article, we meta-analytically investigate different explanations for why and when hierarchy helps or hurts team effectiveness, drawing on results from 54 prior studies (N ...
