Gauge hierarchy problem and scalegenesis [PDF]
We review the gauge hierarchy problem in the standard model. We discuss the meaning of the quadratic divergence in terms of the Wilsonian renormalization group. Classical scale symmetry, which prohibits dimensionful parameters in the bare action, could play a key role for the understanding of the origin of the electroweak scale.

Extensive and Intensive Aspects of Astrophysical Systems and Fine-Tuning
Most astrophysical systems (except for very compact objects such as, e.g., black holes and neutron stars) in our Universe are characterized by shallow gravitational potentials, with dimensionless compactness |Φ|≡rs/R≪1, where rs and R are their ...

FIMP dark matter from flavon portals
We investigate the phenomenology of a non-thermal dark matter (DM) candidate in the context of flavor models that explain the hierarchy in the masses and mixings of quarks and leptons via the Froggatt-Nielsen (FN) mechanism.

Goofy transformations and the hierarchy problem
Goofy transformations of the Standard Model (SM) Higgs field generally prohibit its bare mass term. This opens up an entirely new class of solutions to the electroweak (EW) hierarchy problem.

Mixed spectral AKNS hierarchy from linear isospectral problem and its exact solutions
In this paper, the AKNS isospectral problem and its corresponding time evolution are generalized by embedding three coefficient functions. Starting from the generalizedAKNS isospectral problem, a mixed spectralAKNS hierarchy with variable coefficients is

AZD9291 has shown promise in targeted cancer therapy but is limited by resistance. In this study, we employed metabolic labeling and LC–MS/MS to profile time‐resolved nascent protein perturbations, allowing dynamic tracking of drug‐responsive proteins. We demonstrated that increased NNMT expression is associated with drug resistance, highlighting NNMT ...

A Portalino to the Twin Sector
Extensions of the Standard Model are often highly constrained by cosmology. New states in the theory can dramatically alter observed properties of the universe by the presence of additional matter or entropy.

To integrate multiple transcriptomics data with severe batch effects for identifying MB subtypes, we developed a novel and accurate computational method named RaMBat, which leveraged subtype‐specific gene expression ranking information instead of absolute gene expression levels to address batch effects of diverse data sources.

ABSTRACT Background Poststroke fatigue (PSF) and frailty share substantial overlap in their manifestations, yet previous research has yielded conflicting results due to the use of heterogeneous frailty assessment tools. Objective To evaluate the independent impact of frailty on PSF using a unified measurement system (Tilburg Frailty Indicator, TFI ...
