Tarkistuslista kohdun myoomien HIFU-hoidoissa : tarkistuslista röntgenhoitajalle [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018

High-intensity focused ultrasound ablation to increase tumor-specific lymphocytes in prostate cancer

open access: yesTranslational Oncology
Treatment options for localized prostate cancer have been expanded by FDA-approval of High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU). Prostate cancer typically has few tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes, which are crucial for antitumor immunity.

Harnessing the nonthermal effects of ultrasound for cancer treatment: From mechanisms to applications

open access: yesSmart Molecules, EarlyView.
Nonthermal ultrasound transforms acoustic energy into diverse therapeutic bioeffects through cavitation, mechanical stimulation, and physicochemical activation. This review discusses how acoustic parameters, biological mechanisms, and responsive materials interact to influence nonthermal ultrasound‐enabled cancer therapies. Mechanism‐guided engineering

Mapping the lineage of prostate tissue ablation medical device predicates for focal therapy of prostate cancer approved via the FDA 510(k) clearance pathway

open access: yesSurgical Practice, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective Medical devices are reviewed by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for safety and effectiveness. Class II devices can receive 510(k) clearance if they are “substantially equivalent” to an existing predicate device. This process can be repeated iteratively, leading to a lineage of predicates for newly cleared devices.

Interventional oncology in children: Where are we now?

open access: yesJournal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Oncology, EarlyView.
Abstract Paediatric Interventional Oncology (IO) lags behind adult IO due to a scarcity of specific outcome data. The suboptimal way to evolve this field is relying heavily on adult experiences. The distinct tumour types prevalent in children, such as extracranial germ cell tumours, sarcomas, and neuroblastoma, differ strongly from those found in ...

Computer-based method of determining the path of a HIFU beam through tissue layers from medical images to improve cancer treatment

open access: yes, 2008
The accurate prediction of the path of high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) is essential for the destruction of cancerous cells. Knowledge about the layers of tissues traversed by the ultrasound beam would offer a means of predicting the path and ...

Clinical Laboratory Innovations: Nanoscale Detection of Chloramphenicol Using Nanomaterial Biosensors

open access: yesAnalytical Science Advances, Volume 7, Issue 2, December 2026.
Nanosensor schematic functionalized with specific bioreceptors that produce electrochemical signals upon Chloramphenicol binding. Resulting voltammetric readouts (differential pulse, square‐wave, and cyclic voltammetry) are analyzed to identify and quantify Chloramphenicol.

Immediate intraoperative detrusor muscle status at primary transurethral resection of bladder tumour: a prospective, blinded, paired cohort, feasibility study using fluorescence confocal microscopy (IB1‐LaserComplete study)

open access: yesBJU International, Volume 138, Issue 4, Page 705-713, October 2026.
Objectives To evaluate ex vivo fluorescence confocal microscopy (FCM) for immediate detrusor muscle (DM) assessment during primary transurethral resection of bladder tumour (TURBT). Patients and Methods This prospective, blinded, paired‐cohort feasibility study enrolled consecutive patients undergoing primary TURBT for suspected non‐muscle‐invasive ...
