Abstract The binding of two Higgs bosons is calculated using the N/D method. Bound states occur for m H > 1.3 TeV. The binding is weak and even when m H = 2 TeV the binding energy is only about 150 GeV. Higgs bosons with masses in the TeV range have widths comparable to their masses. Accordingly, so do their bound states.

A cosmological signature of the SM Higgs instability: gravitational waves [PDF]
A fundamental property of the Standard Model is that the Higgs potential becomes unstable at large values of the Higgs field. For the current central values of the Higgs and top masses, the instability scale is about 1011 GeV and therefore not accessible

Difficult Scenarios for NMSSM Higgs Discovery at the LHC [PDF]
We identify scenarios not ruled out by LEP data in which NMSSM Higgs detection at the LHC will be particularly challenging. We first review the `no-lose' theorem for Higgs discovery at the LHC that applies if Higgs bosons do not decay to other Higgs ...

Formation of asymmetrical two-brane structure and its possible manifestation [PDF]
In this paper, we consider the class of extra-dimensional models with two branes and show that each field of the Standard Model must be localized on both neighboring branes, whose asymmetry is of great importance.

Large gauge effects and the structure of amplitudes
We show that large gauge transformations modify the structure of momentum conservation leading to non-vanishing three-point amplitudes in a simple toy model of a gravitational wave event.

Gauge-independent Renormalization of the N2HDM [PDF]
The Next-to-Minimal 2-Higgs-Doublet Model (N2HDM) is an interesting benchmark model for a Higgs sector consisting of two complex doublet and one real singlet fields. Like the Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric extension (NMSSM) it features light Higgs bosons

Two paradigms for the origin of electroweak superconductivity are a weakly coupled scalar condensate, and a strongly coupled fermion condensate. The former suffers from a finetuning problem unless there are cancelations to radiative corrections, while the latter presents potential discrepancies with precision electroweak physics.

Higgs Mode in Superconductors [PDF]
When the continuous symmetry of a physical system is spontaneously broken, two types of collective modes typically emerge: the amplitude and the phase modes of the order-parameter fluctuation.

Abstract We present a novel construction for a Higgs-VEV sensitive (HVS) operator, which can be used as a trigger operator in cosmic selection models for the electroweak hierarchy problem. Our operator does not contain any degrees of freedom charged under the SM gauge symmetries, leading to reduced tuning in the resulting models ...
