Perturbative spacetimes from Yang-Mills theory

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
The double copy relates scattering amplitudes in gauge and gravity theories. In this paper, we expand the scope of the double copy to construct spacetime metrics through a systematic perturbative expansion.

Higgs Physics in ATLAS

open access: yes, 2014
A brief description of the numerous studies perfromed by ATLAS on Run-1 data in the context of Higgs physics will be presented. First a brief summary of the key incredients for Higgs physics of detector performance will be presented.

Coherent states, background fields, and double copy

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We show that scattering amplitudes on any gauge theory background admitting a coherent state description double copy to amplitudes in a curved spacetime.

Invisible Higgs decays and neutrino physics

open access: yes, 1993
A wide class of neutrino physics motivated models are characterized by the spontaneous violation of a global U(1) lepton number symmetry at or below the electroweak scale by an SU(2)⊗U(1) singlet vacuum expectation value 〈σ〉 ≲ O(1) TeV.

Tunnelling amplitudes and Hawking radiation from worldline QFT

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We compare Hawking radiation in a collapse background with Schwinger pair creation in an electric field. The comparison is driven by the presence of an analogue horizon in the Schwinger case, which causally divides spacetime for classical particles, but ...

Computing the soft anomalous dimension with massless particles using the method of regions

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
It is well known that soft singularities of massless amplitudes are significantly simpler than those of massive ones. However, the computation of the soft anomalous dimension (AD) using Wilson-lines correctors is only straightforward in the massive case,

Gluon gravitational D-form factor: the σ-meson as a dilaton confronted with lattice data II

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We investigate the gluon gravitational form factors of the π, N, ρ, and ∆ using lattice QCD data at m π ≈ 450 MeV and m π ≈ 170 MeV. We base the analysis on fits to a simple σ/f 0(500)-meson pole, supplemented by a polynomial background term.

Higgs and Electroweak Physics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
This lecture discusses the Higgs boson sector of the SM and the MSSM, including their connection to electroweak precision physics and the searches for SM and SUSY Higgs bosons at the LHC.
