Measurement of the triple Higgs coupling at a HE-LHC
The currently unmeasured triple Higgs coupling is one of the strong motivations for future physics programs at the LHC and beyond. A sufficiently precise measurement can lead to qualitative changes in our understanding of electroweak symmetry breaking ...

Abstract When studying French prices between 1938 and 1949, economists and historians face a paradox: whilst a vast black market shaped daily life, official indices recorded only state‐controlled prices. This article addresses the issue by introducing a new consumer price index that incorporates both official and black market prices.

A major focus in particle physics has been on understanding the interactions of the Higgs boson. Tremendous progress has been made in determining the strength of the couplings of the Higgs boson to fermions and vector bosons, but its self-interaction has yet to be established.

The IMPOSTERS study analysed 150 recurring ‘human’ Simpsons characters and found that periodontitis or tooth loss was associated with a 23‐fold higher hazard of all‐cause mortality. This was reported in the Simpsons universe, with the death of ‘Bleeding Gums’ Murphy, 3 years before the first such reports in our universe.

Higgs production amidst the LHC detector
We investigate the spectacular collider signatures of macroscopically displaced, neutral particles that decay to Higgs bosons and missing energy. We show that such long-lived particles arise naturally in a very minimal extension of the Standard Model with only two new fermions with electroweak interactions.

Higgs production via weak boson fusion in the Standard Model and the MSSM [PDF]
Higgs production via weak boson fusion (WBF) is an interesting and important process at both the LHC and a future linear collider. Not only is it a possible Higgs discovery channel, but it also allows us to study the properties of the Higgs boson and ...

Experimental information on the trilinear Higgs boson self-coupling $$\kappa _3$$ κ 3 and the quartic self-coupling $$\kappa _4$$ κ 4 will be crucial for gaining insight into the shape of the Higgs potential and the nature of the electroweak phase ...

On the Naturalistic Grounds of Grounding
ABSTRACT This paper examines whether grounding can be naturalized. We adopt a tripartite framework—Ocat (scientific catalogue of existents), Otyp (ontological types), and metaphysics (natures/modal profiles)—and show that classifying as such the relata of putative grounding claims forces a dilemma.

Search for production of charged Higgs particles
Abstract A search has been performed for the production of charged Higgs bosons in e+ e− annihilation at center of mass energies up to 46.8 GeV. From the absence of both hadronic and leptonic decay signatures, we exclude them up to a mass of 19 GeV/c2 independent of the hadronic and leptonic branching ratios.

Charged Higgs production at photon colliders in 2HDM-III [PDF]
