A Pythagoras-like theorem for CP violation in neutrino oscillations
The probabilities of νμ→νe and ν‾μ→ν‾e oscillations in vacuum are determined by the CP-conserving flavor mixing factors Rij≡Re(UμiUejUμj⁎Uei⁎) and the universal Jarlskog invariant of CP violation Jν≡(−1)i+jIm(UμiUejUμj⁎Uei⁎) (for i,j=1,2,3 and ...

Two dimensional (2D) atomically thin materials hold significant promise for next‐generation photodetectors but are limited by low light absorption and scalability challenges. This study presents a high‐performance photodetector integrating liquid metal‐derived 2D SnO2 with CdTe, enabling efficient visible to near‐infrared detection and offering a ...

We compute the O(α2αs2) perturbative corrections to inclusive jet production in electron–nucleon collisions. This process is of particular interest to the physics program of a future Electron Ion Collider (EIC). We include all relevant partonic processes,

Topology Optimization Enables Freeform Matrix Fourier Optics
A topology‐optimized freeform metasurface is designed and fabricated to realize matrix Fourier optics, enabling the diffraction of multiple polarization states into distinct far‐field orders. By combining forward design with gradient‐based inverse optimization, high polarization contrast of up to 98.7% is achieved.

An optimized fabrication approach for the nanostructuring of optical metasurfaces from van der Waals materials like hexagonal boron nitride is presented. The resonator geometries show enhanced geometric homogeneity, resulting in a significant increase in quality factors of symmetry‐protected bound states in the continuum resonances.

Black GaAs surface which decreases light reflectivity forms in surprising way when GaAs is kept first in hot hydrogen peroxide solution and then in hot‐water solution. To increase performance of many photonic devices (e.g., solar cell, light emitting diode (LED), photodetector), it is essential to decrease light reflection at device interfaces ...
