One‐Size‐Fits‐All: A Universal Binding Site for Single‐Layer Metal Cluster Self‐Assembly

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A universal strategy enables the formation of single‐layer metal clusters (SLMC) across 21 elements by harnessing vacancy defects as binding sites. Crucially, synthesis occurs without reactive species, preventing site passivation and ensuring strong metal–surface bonding.

IceCube Search for Neutrino Emission from X-Ray Bright Seyfert Galaxies

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
The recent IceCube detection of TeV neutrino emission from the nearby active galaxy NGC 1068 suggests that active galactic nuclei (AGNs) could make a sizable contribution to the diffuse flux of astrophysical neutrinos. The absence of TeV γ -rays from NGC

Enhanced Superconductivity in X4H15 Compounds via Hole‐Doping at Ambient Pressure

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hole doping in X4H15 hydrides significantly enhances superconductivity, with X3 + compounds reaching Tc values near 50 K due to strong electron–phonon coupling. A viable route is proposed by doping thermodynamically unstable X43+H${\rm X}^{3+}_4{\rm H}$15 to control the charge‐compensated YZr3H15 compound.

Impact of Controlled Magneto‐Structural Coupling in MnCoGe‐Based Compounds on the Design of Multifunctional Materials for Technological Advances

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this work, the authors systematically investigate how Ni substitution regulates the magneto‐structural coupling and their functional consequences in the MnCoGe‐based compounds. Geometric nonlinear theory analysis reveals that Ni modification change of magneto‐structural transition can alleviate the lattice incompatibility, thereby broadening the ...

Circular Polarimetric Imaging with a Metamaterial Integrated Long‐Wavelength Infrared Focal Plane Array

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A quantum well infrared photodetector based long‐wavelength infrared division‐of‐focal‐plane‐array circular polarimeter featuring a 320 × 256 pixel array integrated with a chiral meta‐mirror structure array is established. The device achieves a circular polarization extinction ratio of 5.67, a 9.13‐fold enhancement in responsivity, a noise equivalent ...

High Electron Charge Carrier Mobility in the Nematic Phase of a Roof‐Shaped Nematogen with Optimum Molecular Biaxiality

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Liquid Roofs. Biaxial roof‐shaped mesogens self‐assemble in a nematic phase of a broad temperature range exhibiting high TOF electron mobilities. These mesogens possess the almost optimum biaxial aspect ratio. The results from X‐ray, polarized optical microscopy, modeling, and TOF data agree with biaxiality of small domains and transient nematic phase ...

Ag Nanowire‐Integrated MoS2/ZnO Heterojunctions for Highly Efficient Photogenerated Charge Transfer

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, Volume 11, Issue 6, May 2025.
A versatile strategy is reported for fabricating multi‐dimensional heterojunctions with significantly improved charge transfer capability. By integrating Ag nanowires with a MoS2/ZnO heterojunction, a fourfold increase in surface photovoltage is achieved, reaching 200 mV under visible light illumination.
