Chiral algebras, localization and surface defects

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
Four-dimensional N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 2 superconformal quantum field theories contain a subsector carrying the structure of a chiral algebra. Using localization techniques, we show for the free hypermultiplet that this structure can be accessed directly

GW200105 and GW200115 are compatible with a scenario of primordial black hole binary coalescences

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2022
Two gravitational wave events, i.e. GW200105 and GW200115, were observed by the Advanced LIGO and Virgo detectors recently. In this work, we show that they can be explained by a scenario of primordial black hole binaries that are formed in the early ...

Ultra High Energy Neutrino Astronomy [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Physics B - Proceedings Supplements, 2006
The short review of theoretical aspects of ultra high energy (UHE) neutrinos and superGZK neutrinos. The sources and diffuse fluxes of UHE neutrinos are discussed. Much attention is given to comparison of the cascade and cosmic ray upper bounds for diffuse neutrino fluxes.

Single-inclusive jet production in electron–nucleon collisions through next-to-next-to-leading order in perturbative QCD

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2016
We compute the O(α2αs2) perturbative corrections to inclusive jet production in electron–nucleon collisions. This process is of particular interest to the physics program of a future Electron Ion Collider (EIC). We include all relevant partonic processes,

Multi-Messenger Connection in High-Energy Neutrino Astronomy

open access: yesUniverse
Low fluxes of astrophysical neutrinos at TeV energies, and the overwhelming background of atmospheric neutrinos below that, render the current paradigm of neutrino astronomy a severely statistics-limited one.

On the KKLT goldstino

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
We construct general asymptotically Klebanov-Strassler solutions of a five dimensional SU(2) × SU(2) × ℤ 2 × ℤ 2R truncation of IIB supergravity on T 1,1, that break supersymmetry.

Perspectives of high-energy neutrino astronomy

open access: yesNuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section A: Accelerators, Spectrometers, Detectors and Associated Equipment, 2006
This work discusses the perspectives to observe fluxes of high energy astrophysical neutrinos with the planned km3 telescopes. On the basis of the observations of GeV and TeV gamma-rays, and of ultra high energy cosmic rays, it is possible to construct well motivated predictions that indicate that the discovery of such fluxes is probable.

Corrected calculation for the non-local solution to the g − 2 anomaly and novel results in non-local QED

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We provide the corrected calculation of the (g − 2) μ in non-local QED previously done in the literature. In specific, we show the proper technique for calculating loops in non-local QED and use it to find the form factors F 1(q 2) and F 2(q 2) in non ...

Aspects of non-local QED and the weak gravity conjecture

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
We use the weak gravity conjecture (WGC) to investigate the impact of charge dequantization arising from non-local QED on the scale of non-locality of neutrinos. We find this scale to be $$\lesssim 49$$ ≲ 49 TeV as implied by direct bounds and $$\lesssim

What do we know about cosmography

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2017
In the present paper, we investigate the cosmographic problem using the bias–variance trade-off. We find that both the z-redshift and the $$y=z/(1+z)$$ y = z / ( 1 + z ) -redshift can present a small bias estimation.
