High-Energy Ball Milling Promoted Sulfur Immobilization for Constructing High-Performance Na-Storage Carbon Anodes

open access: yes, 2023
Sulfur (S) doping is an effective method for constructing high-performance carbon anodes for sodium-ion batteries. However, traditional designs of S-doped carbon often exhibit low initial Coulombic efficiency (ICE), poor rate capability, and impoverished

Conversion Study on the Formation of Mechanochemically Synthesized BaTiO3

open access: yesChemistry, 2022
Mechanochemistry is a method that can cover the energy demand of reaction pathways between solid materials. This requires enough energy to maintain the reactions between the starting materials. This is called “high-energy milling”.

Influence of Si Content and Milling Duration on the Microstructure and Mechanical–Tribological Properties of AlCoCrFeNiSi High‐Entropy Alloys

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Si‐doped AlCoCrFeNi high‐entropy alloys are synthesized by mechanical alloying to reveal the effect of Si content and milling time on phase evolution, microstructural refinement, and tribological behavior. A transition from FCC to BCC structure, significant grain refinement, and enhanced hardness and wear resistance are achieved, with the 4 at% Si ...

EFEKTIVITAS PEMUTUSAN MULTIWALLED CARBON NANOTUBES (MWNT) DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN HIGH ENERGY MILLING DAN CONVENTIONAL BALL MILLING

open access: yes, 2013
The cutting efficiency of MWNTs was compared systematically between conventional ball milling and high-energy milling. The efficiency of both processes was evaluated in term of dispersion properties, aggregates size evolution, and degree of crystallinity.

Obtaining of tungsten nanopowders by high energy ball milling

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering, 2020
Abstract The objective of the work is identifying the modes of ball milling of the W16,5 and PWT grade tungsten that ensure obtaining nanosized powders. Milling was performed with the AGO-2U planetary-centrifugal mill for 5, 15, 60, and 120 min at the carrier rotation frequencies of 400, 800, and 1000 rpm.
