Manufacturing of High Entropy Alloys
JOM, 2015High entropy alloys (HEAs) have generated interest in recent years due to their unique positioning within the alloy world. By incorporating a number of elements in high proportion they have high configurational entropy, and thus they hold the promise of interesting and useful properties such as enhanced strength and phase stability.

Refractory high-entropy alloys
Intermetallics, 2010Abstract Two refractory high-entropy alloys with near-equiatomic concentrations, W–Nb–Mo–Ta and W–Nb–Mo–Ta–V, were produced by vacuum arc melting. Despite containing many constituents both alloys have a single-phase body-centered cubic (BCC) structure.

Phase Engineering of High‐Entropy Alloys
Advanced Materials, 2020AbstractHigh‐entropy alloys (HEAs) are based on five or more principal elements with equal or nearly equal molar fractions and possess many significant advantages over traditional alloys, including high strength and hardness, excellent corrosion resistance, outstanding thermal stability, and irradiation resistance. Phase structure plays a vital role in

Thermodynamics of High Entropy Alloys
2020HEAs have brought a renewed interest to the science of thermodynamics. In HEAs, compared to conventional alloys, thermodynamic properties are a new and influential trend, although the science remains the same. Thermodynamics underpins conventional alloy design and paves the way for innovative HEA design strategies.

Phase stabilities of high entropy alloys
Scripta Materialia, 2019Abstract A perturbation model is used to evaluate the phase stabilities of high entropy alloys. The calculation results can successfully predict the phase stabilities of many high entropy alloys and shows that stable single phase high entropy alloys are rare.
