Smart Surface of Steering Wheel Based on Triboelectric Nanogenerator and Artificial Intelligence in Driving Monitoring System

open access: yesNanomaterials
Real-time driving monitoring systems can use self-powered sensors based on artificial intelligence (AI) and triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs). Here, we created a TENG-based self-powered intelligent steering wheel that can detect hand gripping.

Integrated genomic and proteomic profiling reveals insights into chemoradiation resistance in cervical cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A comprehensive genomic and proteomic analysis of cervical cancer revealed STK11 and STX3 as a potential biomarkers of chemoradiation resistance. Our study demonstrated EGFR as a therapeutic target, paving the way for precision strategies to overcome treatment failure and the DNA repair pathway as a critical mechanism of resistance.

Iron melting curve with a tricritical point

open access: yes, 2007
Solidification as a first order phase transition is described in the Landau theory by the same equation as tricritical phenomena. Here, the solidification or melting temperature against pressure curve is modelled to end at a tricritical point.

YAP1::TFE3 mediates endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal plasticity in epithelioid hemangioendothelioma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The YAP1::TFE3 fusion protein drives endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EndMT) plasticity, resulting in the loss of endothelial characteristics and gain of mesenchymal‐like properties, including resistance to anoikis, increased migratory capacity, and loss of contact growth inhibition in endothelial cells.

Effects of cathode rotation and substrate materials on electrodeposited CoMnP thick films

open access: yesMaterials Research Express, 2021
In this study, rotating-cathode electrodeposition was performed to deposit 30 μ m thick CoMnP films on various substrate materials at room temperature. The electrodeposition configuration and parameters realized a constant current efficiency of about 95%,

Gut microbiota diversity is prognostic in metastatic hormone receptor‐positive breast cancer patients receiving chemotherapy and immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this exploratory study, we investigated the relationship between the gut microbiota and outcome in patients with metastatic hormone receptor‐positive breast cancer, treated in a randomized clinical trial with chemotherapy alone or chemotherapy in combination with immune checkpoint blockade.

In vitro properties of patient serum predict clinical outcome after high dose rate brachytherapy of hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Following high dose rate brachytherapy (HDR‐BT) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), patients were classified as responders and nonresponders. Post‐therapy serum induced increased BrdU incorporation and Cyclin E expression of Huh7 and HepG2 cells in nonresponders, but decreased levels in responders.

Magneto-elastic coupling and competing entropy changes in substituted CoMnSi metamagnets

open access: yes, 2013
We use neutron diffraction, magnetometry and low temperature heat capacity to probe giant magneto-elastic coupling in CoMnSi-based antiferromagnets and to establish the origin of the entropy change that occurs at the metamagnetic transition in such ...
