Effective Modeling of Leakage Inductance for use in Circuit Simulation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Theoretical methods for the calculation of winding losses with respect to frequency have been well documented, but the variation in leakage inductance of magnetic components due to frequency has been less well addressed. In this paper Dowell’s well-known

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Transformers in High-Frequency Trading

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series
Abstract Transformer is a deep learning model that, having an innovative performance in many tasks, has uniquely and significantly modified all the cast of mind of the AI scientific community. In this paper, we introduce a Transformer model that is applied to 1-minute timescale in the EURUSD and GBPUSD instruments of forex trading.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Study of the decoupling magnetic integrated high‐frequency transformer for DC/DC converter

open access: yesIET Power Electronics
The isolated DC/DC converter plays an irreplaceable role in the development of the DC microgrid. However, the multiple discrete high‐frequency transformers occupy considerable volume in power converters due to the connection of multiple isolated ...

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Research on High-Frequency Modification Method of Industrial-Frequency Smelting Transformer Based on Parallel Connection of Multiple Windings

open access: yesEnergies
Under the background of “dual-carbon” strategy and global energy transition, the metallurgical industry, which accounts for 15–20% of industrial energy consumption, urgently needs to reduce the energy consumption and emission of DC power supply of ...

Novel Transformerless Multilevel Inductive Power Transfer System

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
Previous high power on-line inductive power transfer (IPT) systems use line-frequency (LF) transformers and high-frequency (HF) transformers to be compatible with the ratings of commercial power switches.

Surface tracking in the inter-phase region of large transformers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Transmission and distribution operators throughout the world manage significant populations of ageing large transformers which use mineral oil and paper as the dielectric insulation.
