Application and Technical Principles of Catheter High-Frequency Jet Ventilation

open access: yesAdvances in Respiratory Medicine, 2023
The aim of this publication is to analyze the topic of high-frequency jet ventilation (HFJV), namely catheter HFJV (C-HFJV), from a mathematical–physical as well as a clinical point of view.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

DCO2/PaCO2 correlation on high-frequency oscillatory ventilation combined with volume guarantee using increasing frequencies in an animal model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
To examine the correlation DCO2/PaCO2 on high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV) combined with volume guarantee (VG) throughout increasing frequencies in two different respiratory conditions, physiological and low compliance.

Lung recruitment in neonatal high‐frequency oscillatory ventilation with volume‐guarantee [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
Background and objectives: The optimal lung volume strategy during high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV) is reached by performing recruitment maneuvers, usually guided by the response in oxygenation. In animal models, secondary spontaneous change

Use of Non-Invasive Ventilation in Reducing Partial Pressure of Carbon Dioxide Level (Paco2) in Neonates with Respiratory Distress Syndrome

open access: yesJournal of Bahria University Medical and Dental College, 2022
Objective: It has been observed that non-invasive ventilation used in premature with Respiratory distress syndrome and notably decrease level of partial pressure of carbon-dioxide (PaCO2) level in blood.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

High-frequency oscillatory ventilation as a rescue for severe asthma crisis in a child

open access: yesSAGE Open Medical Case Reports, 2020
Mechanical ventilation in the asthmatic child may be complicated by dynamic air trapping leading to hemodynamic compromise and cardiac arrest. High-frequency oscillatory ventilation is relatively contraindicated because it may cause hyperinflation ...

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...

The Independent Effect of Three Inline Suction Adapters and Lung Compliance change on Amplitude and delivered Tidal Volume during High Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation in an adult patient with ARDS: Bench Model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Introduction: The use of high frequency oscillatory ventilation is increasing in treatment ofacute respiratory distress syndrome over the past decade. The technique of HFOV of ventilatingthe lungs at volumes less than the anatomical dead space calms the ...

Pharmacological inhibition of the PERK pathway modulates hepatocellular carcinoma growth and immune signaling

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...
