Modeling of Microbubble-Enhanced High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound [PDF]
Heat enhancement at the target in a High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) field is investigated by considering the effects of the injection of microbubbles in the vicinity of the tumor to be ablated. The interaction between the bubble cloud and the HIFU field is investigated using a three-dimensional numerical model.

ABSTRACT Background B‐cell lymphoblastic lymphoma (B‐LBL) represents a rare variety of non‐Hodgkin lymphoma, with limited research on its biology, progression, and management. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical characteristics of 256 patients aged ≤18 years who received treatment under the China Net Childhood Lymphoma (CNCL)‐

High‐intensity focused ultrasound for noninvasive functional neurosurgery [PDF]
AbstractTranscranial magnetic resonance (MR)‐guided high‐intensity focused ultrasound (tcMRgHIFU) implies a novel, noninvasive treatment strategy for various brain diseases. Nine patients with chronic neuropathic pain were treated with selective medial thalamotomies.

Background Extracorporeal high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) is a promising method for the noninvasive thermal ablation of benign and malignant tissue. Current HIFU treatments are performed under ultrasound (US-HIFU) or magnetic resonance (MR-HIFU)

Survivin and Aurora Kinase A control cell fate decisions during mitosis
Aurora A interacts with survivin during mitosis and regulates its centromeric role. Loss of Aurora A activity mislocalises survivin, the CPC and BubR1, leading to disruption of the spindle checkpoint and triggering premature mitotic exit, which we refer to as ‘mitotic slippage’.
