Impact of Depth‐Dependent Heterogeneity in Aquifers on the Response of Unsaturated‐Saturated Flow to Earth Tides

open access: yesWater Resources Research
Heterogeneity is a natural characteristic of aquifers, which has a profound influence on groundwater flow and solute transport. However, the heterogeneity in an aquifer is difficult to characterize and its impact on groundwater response to Earth tides ...

Discharge of Simulated High Level Liquid Waste During Rotary Calcination

open access: yesHe huaxue yu fangshe huaxue
In the two-step cold crucible vitrification process, high level liquid waste is evaporated, denitrated, and calcined in a calciner to form metal oxides. These oxides then fall into the cold crucible, where they are melted together with base-glass frit to

High‐Resolution and Real‐Time In Situ Generation of Cellular Spheroids by Laser‐Assisted Bioprinting for Guided Microvascularization

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Micro‐injection laser‐assisted bioprinting enables ultrafast and precise patterning of small endothelial cell spheroids by injecting a highly concentrated single‐cell suspension into GelMA/ColMA hydrogels. In co‐culture with fibroblasts, controlled pre‐vasculogenic network formation is obtained at microscale resolution.

Parallel 3D Bioprinting on SLIPS‐Microarrays

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces the first truly parallel 3D bioprinting method, enabling both the simultaneous fabrication of hundreds of cell laden hydrogel 3D structures and their HTS in individual liquid compartments. By integrating Digital Light Processing (DLP) stereolithography with functional micropatterns, the platform decouples printing time from array ...

Spatial distribution of the stochastic discontinuities of Shazaoyuan granite masses in Beishan

open access: yes工程科学学报
Shazaoyuan granite masses are a substitute location for high-level radioactive waste disposal in China. The widely distributed stochastic discontinuities in the granite bodies in this area are crucial factors that control rock deformation and nuclide ...

Self‐Sintering Ionogel Binder for Flexible, Recyclable, and Healable Printed Giant Magnetoresistive Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Electronic waste has emerged as a major environmental challenge, driven by the massive consumption and a limited lifetime of modern electronic devices, stimulating the development of sustainable electronics. Here, an all‐biomaterial gelatin‐choline‐citric acid ([Ch][CA]) ionogel is developed as an active binder to realize self‐sintered ...

Occasional Paper 13 - What role do maintained nursery schools play in Early Years sector improvements? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The thing that really concerns me is that once MNSs have gone, that level of expertise and social service will also. It seems that there’s a sort of double quality to the MNS, which is constantly evolving, high level pedagogy and providing areas of ...
