Fatigue Behavior of High‐Performance Concrete
Journal of Materials in Civil Engineering, 1993A fatigue study was performed two commercial high-strength concretes of 70 MPa and 95 MPa with water/cementitious material ratios of 0.28 and 0.23, respectively. Specimens were cast at the construction site and cured in the laboratory. Tests were performed under constant amplitude, and strains were measured continuously using strain gauges.

High-performance Concretes are Exotic Materials
International Journal of Materials Research, 1999Ceramics, glasses, and cements are synthetic, non-metallic, inorganic materials with somewhat similar physical, chemical, and mechanical properties. Their preparation processes also show similarities. The ceramists consider their favorite materials as high-tech materials, but they often relegate cements and concretes to a low-tech position.

The adoption of ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC) to connect precast (high-performance concrete or HPC) bridge deck panels has resulted in improvements in the constructability and structural performance of such connections. However, recent field evidence suggests that UHPC connections are susceptible to HPC/UHPC interfacial cracking under service ...

ultra-high-performance concrete
2008ABSTRACT: The main advantage of DUCON (DUctile CONcrete), a patented 3-D micro-reinforced, selfcompacting Ultra High Performance Concrete, is its ductility in combination with high compressive and flexural strength. This paper describes the properties and recent applications of DUCON.

High-Performance Concrete, Really High Performance?
2014Nowadays, high-performance concrete (HPC) is popular all over the world. It is the most fashionable kind of concrete and people are all flattering it. It is believed by most experts and scholars that HPC possesses good resistance to frost, permeability, drying shrinkage, cracking, and chemical corrosion, and the most important point is that HPC has the

A Review on High Performance Concrete
SSRN Electronic Journal, 2015High-performance concrete (HPC) is widely used in large scale concrete constructions that require high strength, high flow ability and high durability. Various studies are performed on high performance concrete with respect to workability, strength and durability. The effect of various mineral admixtures on HPC is studied.

High performance concrete—An overview
Materials and Structures, 1998It is suggested that high performance concrete is not fundamentally different from the concrete used in the past, although it usually contains fly ash, ground granulated blastfurnace slag and silica fume, as well as superplasticizer. The cost aspects of the use of silica fume are considered.

Curing of high-performance concrete:
2001This report summarizes the results of an exploratory study on the effects of curing duration on the variation of mortar strength with distance from the drying surface. The study was sponsored by the Partnership for High-Performance Concrete Technology, which is a coordinated research effort by the Building and Fire Research Laboratory to provide the ...
