Effect of terahertz irradiation on DNA damage repair in living cells
We investigated the effect of terahertz (THz) wave irradiation on DNA double‐strand break (DSB) repair in living cells. We found that THz irradiation enhanced DSB repair at specific frequencies, whereas heat treatment inhibited it, indicating that this effect is nonthermal and frequency‐specific.

X band bifrequency coaxial relativistic backward wave oscillator
An idea of azimuthally dividing the slow wave structure (SWS) of a relativistic backward wave oscillator (RBWO) into two parts is introduced to realize a bifrequency oscillation.

Multi-beam gun design for an S-band klystron
This paper introduces the detailed design scheme of a multi-beam electron gun applied to an S-band high power multi-beam klystron. The multi-beam gun adopts a coaxial cavity arrangement, and the total number of electron beams are 40 (19 in the inner ...

Mode selection characteristics in a circular waveguide loaded with a left-handed metamaterial
We theoretically study mode selection characteristics in a left-handed metamaterial (LHM) loaded into a circular waveguide. The existent modes in the circular waveguide are closely related to the radius of the coaxially loaded LHM, and a general rule ...

Here, we provide the reader with the current state of the art in the fabrication of high‐T2‐coherence diamond, optimized through the use of double electron–electron resonance (DEER) spectroscopy. We reveal the main as well as yet unidentified spin defects, the reduction of which is essential for reducing the spin bath and fabricating materials for ...

Design and simulation of an S-band compact multi-beam klystron
The miniaturization and high power of klystron are the main concerns of accelerators. Multi-beam klystron (MBK) can accommodate higher power and a lower operating voltage than single-beam klystrons, significantly reducing volume and weight.

A three‐dimensional magnetic field sensor is realized in chiral W/CoFeB/MgO multilayers, where spin–orbit torques reversibly reconfigure homochiral stripe domains. The symmetry of the torque enables offset‐free in‐plane sensing, while the reproducible domain reconfiguration extends the linear out‐of‐plane range. An anomalous Hall readout delivers large‐
