High pressure sintering of diamond-SiC composite
Journal of Materials Science, 2001Sintered polycrystalline compacts in the system diamond-10–50 wt% SiC having average grain size of less than 1 μm were prepared at pressure of 6 GPa and temperature between 1400 and 1600 °C. Knoop indentation hardness of the compacts increased with diamond content and sintering temperature, and specimens with a Knoop indentation hardness greater 40 GPa

High‐Pressure Self‐Combustion Sintering of Titanium Carbide
Journal of the American Ceramic Society, 1987A high‐pressure self‐combusiton sintering process has been applied to the synthesis and simultaneous sintering of titanium carbide. A dense titanium carbide compact was easily fabricated from the constituent elements without sintering aids under 3 GPa.

Synthesis and high-pressure sintering of (W0.5Al0.5)C
Materials Research Bulletin, 2005Abstract A new solid solution of Al in WC, which can be expressed by the chemical formula (W0.5Al0.5)C, has been synthesized directly by reaction milling (RM) of a W0.5Al0.5 alloy and the proper amount of carbon. The total reaction time is about 50 h.

High-pressure sintering behavior of α″-Fe16N2 nanopowder
Journal of Applied Physics, 2014α″-Fe16N2 nanopowder was sintered at high-pressure and low temperature in order to explore its feasibility as a bulk magnet. TEM observation confirmed that the nanopowder was densely consolidated by sintering at a pressure of 1.2 GPa and temperatures around 200 °C.

Theoretical Aspects of High Pressure Sintering
1989Pressureless sintering and hot pressing are considered to have been much studied theoretically and experimentally. The results of these studies are, however, unusable to describe the mass transfer processes at high pressure. Sintering under these conditions is due to mechanisms of plastic deformation and diffusional creep and at high hydrostatic ...

High Pressure Sintering of Al2O3-CNT Nanocomposites
Materials Testing, 2014Abstract In this study, Al2O3-CNT nanocomposites were sintered at 800–1000 °C under 5 GPa for 10 minutes using two different powders as starting material, γ-Al2O3 and AlOOH, respectively. The effect of transition alumina powders on the properties of the high pressure sintered Al2O3-CNT nanocomposites were studied.

High pressure infiltration sintering behavior of WC-Co alloys
High Pressure Research, 2016ABSTRACTIn this paper, two average tungsten carbide particle sizes of 2, 0.5 μm are placed respectively, in contact with a WC-16Co substrate, pressed at the pressure of 4.5–5.5 GPa, and heated to temperatures ranging from 1350°C to 1500°C in a large-volume cubic press.

Computerized Complex for Sintering Nanoceramics at High Pressures
2003High-pressure sintering is one of the effective methods for obtaining high-density nanoceramics based on high-melting-point compounds [1, 2, 3, 4]. for example, TiN ceramics with nearly full density and increased microhardness have been obtained by this method [5, 6].

SiC nano-ceramics sintered under high-pressure
2008Two SiC nanopowders with the average grain sizes of 16 nm and 45 nm were sintered under high pressure (2-8 GPa) and at the temperature of 1200 degrees C. The initial powders grain sizes were preserved in the sintered materials. The microhardness HV02 of the ceramics increases with sintering pressure and varied from 760 to 1730 for the initial powder of
