High-pressure synthesis of superconducting Nb{1-x}B2 (x = 0-0.48) with the maximum Tc = 9.2 K [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Superconductivity with Tc above 9 K was found in metal-deficient NbB2 prepared under 5 GPa, while no clear superconductivity was observed down to 3 K in stoichiometric NbB2. The superconductivity was observed above x = 0.04 in Nb1-xB2.

Impact of Alkali Ions Codoping on Magnetic Properties of La0.9A0.1Mn0.9Co0.1O3 (A: Li, K, Na) Powders and Ceramics

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
The aim of the work was to check how the introduction of alkali and cobalt ions into a manganese structure can affect the structural disorder and, in consequence, lead to the changes (improvements) of magnetic properties.

High pressure assisted WC/Co hardmetal sintering–effect of sintering temperature [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Conference Proceedings, 2017
WC/Co is widely used as cutting tools, because has a unique combination of high strength, hardness, toughness, and moderate stiffness, especially with fine grained WC and finely distributed cobalt. WC/Co powder mixture sinters by different methods such as vacuum sintering, microwave sintering and SPS.

High pressure Sintering of TiB2 powder with Less Sinterability.

open access: yesTRANSACTIONS OF THE JAPAN SOCIETY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS Series A, 1993
A compact of TiB2 was fabricated by sintering powder TiB2 with less sinterability by use of a high pressure technique. Densification of the sintered compact was made at a pressure of 5.4 GPa and temperatures up to 1600°C for 5 hours. The sinterability was estimated from mechanical and electrical properties.

Improving corrosion resistance of spark plasma sintering-produced AlCoCrFeNi2.1 high entropy alloy via in-situ process pressure and temperature control

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2023
The ability to control phases in eutectic high-entropy alloys (EHEAs) remains a formidable challenge. This study illustrates a simple approach that applies various sintering temperature and pressure to achieve precise control of phase transformation in ...

High pressure sintered ZrO2-6%wt REO

open access: yesScience of Sintering, 2007
The sintering conditions employed in this work are innovative, due to the use of an alternative technology to process ZrO2-REO (rare earth oxide mixture), so called high temperature - high pressure (HPHT). A pressure of 5GPa was used, temperatures of 1100, 1200, and 1300 o C, for times of 2 and 5 minutes.

Characterization of TiC-FeCrMn Cermets Produced by Powder Metallurgy Method

open access: yesMedžiagotyra, 2015
TiC-NiMo cermets combine relatively low density with high hardness. Because nickel is known as a toxin and allergen and allergy to nickel is a phenomenon which has assumed growing importance in recent years there has been a flurry of activity to find ...
