High-pressure water jet injury of the hand
The Journal of Hand Surgery, 1985A rare case of high-pressure injection injury to the thumb with water is reported. The problem was managed without surgical exploration despite subsequent involvement of the small finger.

Nozzles Classification in a High Pressure Water Jet Systems
2007 IEEE Instrumentation & Measurement Technology Conference IMTC 2007, 2007In this paper, a technique for classifying the working condition of a water jet system is presented. The classifier is based on the DFT of the electrical power signal. It is shown that this information can characterize the working condition of the system and to predict the presence of (an incoming) faulty behaviour.

Crowning Carrots with a High Pressure Water Jet
Applied Engineering in Agriculture, 1988A crown trimming technique was investigated in an attempt to reduce the high produce loss associated with processing carrots. Carrot crowns have been cleanly trimmed at simulated rates as high as 20 t/h with the use of a high pressure water jet. The relationship between orifice diameter, carrot diameter, and water pressure necessary for an acceptable ...

High-Pressure Water Jet Injuries
SPE International Health, Safety & Environment Conference, 2006Abstract Our hands serve many purposes. Hands help us eat, dress, write, earn a living, create art, and do many other functions and daily chores. To do these tasks and activities, our hands require sensation and movement, such as joint motion, tendon gliding, and muscle contraction.
