Combining asynchronous high-rate GNSS RTK and accelerometer for retrieving dynamic displacements
2023We develop a method for dynamic displacement retrieval by combining asynchronous high-rate GNSS and accelerometer data and smoothing with the Rauch Tung Striebel (RTS) algorithm. It adopts relative GNSS positioning with observations of different sampling rates at rover and reference stations.

Performance Assessment of Bridge Modal Frequency Identification Using High-Rate GNSS
2021Identification of dynamic model frequencies is a critical step in bridge health monitoring. This paper assesses the performance of bridge modal frequency identification based on 50-Hz GNSS displacements of the Sanchaji bridge at Changsha. In the experiment, the Chebyshev filter is used to remove the long-period static component caused by the static ...

Multipath extraction and mitigation for high-rate multi-GNSS precise point positioning
Journal of Geodesy, 2019Multipath effect on carrier-phase observation is one of the bottlenecks for mm-level applications when using precise point positioning (PPP). Hence, we extract the multipath directly from raw carrier-phase residuals of GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BDS, by using PPP technique.

Real-time earthquake hazard assessment based on high-rate GNSS PPPAR
2020
To provide hazard assessment in rapid or real-time mode, accelerations due to seismic waves have traditionally been recorded by seismometers. Another approach, based on the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), known as GNSS seismology, has become increasingly accurate and reliable.

Noise Characteristics of High‐Rate Multi‐GNSS for Subdaily Crustal Deformation Monitoring
Journal of Geophysical Research: Solid Earth, 2018AbstractHigh‐rate GPS (Global Positioning System) has the potential to record crustal motions on a wide subdaily timescale from seconds to hours but usually fails to capture subtle deformations which are often overwhelmed by the centimeter noise of epoch‐wise GPS displacements.

High-rate GNSS receivers, sampling satellite signals at over 1-Hz rate, can record strong ground motions and directly in the form of displacements instead of velocities or accelerations. In this case, broadband displacement waveforms down to 0 Hz can be obtained nominally; the benefit is that static offsets can be identified ...

Error analysis of high-rate GNSS precise point positioning for seismic wave measurement
Advances in Space Research, 2017Abstract High-rate GNSS precise point positioning (PPP) has been playing a more and more important role in providing precise positioning information in fast time-varying environments. Although kinematic PPP is commonly known to have a precision of a few centimeters, the precision of high-rate PPP within a short period of time has been reported ...

Real-time high rate GNSS techniques for earthquake monitoring and early warning
