RADAR TARGET RECOGNITION BASED ON PARAMETERIZED HIGH RESOLUTION RANGE PROFILES

International Journal of Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence, 2000
A new scheme of radar target recognition based on parameterized high resolution range profiles (PHRRP) is presented in this paper. A novel criterion called generalized-weighted-normalized correlation (GWNC) is proposed for measuring the similarity between PHRRP's.

Radar high resolution range profiles analysis based on sparse decomposition

2012 IEEE International Workshop on Electromagnetics: Applications and Student Innovation Competition, 2012
The radar high resolution range profiles has been widely used in radar imaging and target recognition because of the simplicity and effectiveness to obtain. For the GTD model of radar target, this paper studies the reconstruction and feature extraction of high resolution range profiles using the method of sparse decomposition.

Method of Aerial Target Length Extraction Based On High Resolution Range Profile

2019 IEEE International Conference on Signal, Information and Data Processing (ICSIDP), 2019
when wideband radar signal is used, the received target signal is no longer a ‘point’ echo, but a high resolution range profile along the distance.

BiGRU Network for Human Activity Recognition in High Resolution Range Profile

2019 International Radar Conference (RADAR), 2019
The movements of the human body result in unique radar echo changes that can be exploited for classifying human activities. In this paper, we propose a bi-directional gated recurrent neural network (BiGRU) to classify human activities based on high ...

Features for high resolution radar range profile based ship classification

ISSPA '99. Proceedings of the Fifth International Symposium on Signal Processing and its Applications (IEEE Cat. No.99EX359), 2003
This study investigates a variety of features in the context of automated ship classification of high resolution radar range profile. The features used are length, scatterer count, centres of mass, quantised range profile and Fourier modified direct Mellin transform coefficients.

The Range Alignment Algorithm for High-Resolution Range Profile Based on Image Segmentation

2016 International Conference on Identification, Information and Knowledge in the Internet of Things (IIKI), 2016
Aiming at the problem of the difficulty in the range alignment of HRRP because of more than one target in the window of radar image, this paper propose a alignment method for multiple targets in the target group by using an image segmentation method. First, we accumulate the HRRP of the target, and get the HRRP process diagram.

High-resolution range profile

2005
In this chapter high-range resolution radar is presented. A high-resolution range profile (HRRP) is a one-dimensional signature of an object. It is a representation of the time domain response of the target to a high-range resolution radar pulse.

W-band maritime target classification using high resolution range profiles

2013 International Conference on Radar, 2013
A W-band radar model was developed and tested using six point-scatterer maritime targets to assess the performance of four classifiers: traditional maximum correlation, naive Bayes, polynomial kernel support vector machine (SVM) and radial basis function (RBF) SVM.

Automatic Target Recognition Based on High-Resolution Range Profiles with Unknown Circular Range Shift

2006 IEEE International Symposium on Signal Processing and Information Technology, 2006
In this paper, an automatic aircraft target recognition (ATR) framework is presented, which is based on the high resolution range profiles (HRRP) of aircraft targets. This work is divided into two major parts. First, we consider the generation of the HRRP, which includes the modeling and simulation of radar cross section (RCS), the design of step ...

High-resolution range profiling via weighted SPICE in stepped-frequency radar

Radar Sensor Technology XXII, 2018
Stepped-frequency waveforms are widely used in ultra-wideband (UWB) radar to obtain high resolution range profiles (HRRPs). In this paper, we consider high range resolution (HRR) improvement, i.e. sidelobe reduction and resolution enhancement, in stepped-frequency radar via weighted SParse Iterative Covariance-based Estimation (weighted SPICE) approach.
