Identifying Dynamical Quantum Phase Transitions With a Migratable Quantum‐Classical Hybrid Neural Network

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
A hybrid quantum‐classical architecture is introduced to accurately identify dynamical quantum phase transitions from time‐evolved quantum states. The QCNN serves as a quantum dynamical feature extractor, while the classical network learns temporal correlations from a low‐dimensional readout sequence. The framework attains high accuracy, remains robust

Allosteric Regulation of Photophysics and Binding in Oxazine‐macrocycle Complexes at Single‐molecule Resolution

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
This work explores the interactions between the oxazine dye ATTO655 and two macrocyclic hosts using optical (single‑molecule) spectroscopy. Although ATTO655 forms a classical inclusion complex with cucurbit[8]uril (CB8), its interaction with p‑sulfonatocalix[4]arene (sCX4) leads to the formation of dim exclusion complexes.

A Two‐Stage Characterization Pipeline and Open‐Source Framework for Reproducible Tactile Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
The same soft tactile sensor returns different numbers when embodied in different robots. This is an Embodiment Gap that no shared framework currently captures transparently. A two‐stage characterization pipeline, paired with a FAIR open‐source digital datasheet, decouples intrinsic sensor behavior from embodiment effects and condenses cross‐laboratory

Comment on “Can Charge Transfer Across C─H···O Hydrogen Bonds Stabilize Oil Droplets in Water?”

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Nanoscale oil droplets in water are kinetically stable and charged, with a pH dependent electrophoretic mobility. Although the source of this charge is agreed to arise from water, 2 main hypotheses remain: OH− adsorption or electronic charge density displaced via hydrogen bonds. Molecular surface specific experiments are reviewed, that all point to the

How cold is too cold? A theoretical analysis of the optimal trigger for index insurance for frost damage to crops

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Agricultural Economics, EarlyView.
Abstract Crop insurance is undoubtedly an extremely valuable element in protecting agricultural businesses, but in many cases standard indemnity‐based products have had very low uptake due to high transaction costs elevating premiums to unaffordable levels.
