High Temperature Superconductivity

Cryogenics, 1983
V L Ginzburg and D A Kirzhnits (eds) 1982 New York: Academic xv + 364 pp price $55 One of the authors of this book had previously said 'Yes, high-temperature superconductivity is a dream, but a sufficiently realistic one'. The Bardeen–Cooper–Schrieffer theory of superconductivity is the accepted basis, but the attraction which causes pairing of ...

High-Temperature Superconductivity

1992
In the spring of 1986, K.A. Muller and J.G. Bednortz [1] revealed that at temperatures higher that 30 K the ceramic compounds of lanthanum, barrium and copper oxides go into a superconducting state. In February, 1987, C.W. Chu et al. [2] synthesized yttrium compounds which go over into a superconducting state at temperatures T c close to 90 K.
