High voltage boosting converter

2012 Twenty-Seventh Annual IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (APEC), 2012
In this paper, a high voltage boosting converter is presented, whose operating principle is based on charge pumps and series boost converters. Furthermore, although three switches are used, no isolated gate driver is needed instead of one half-bridge gate driver and one low-side gate driver.

Brachytherapy boost (BT-boost) or stereotactic body radiation therapy boost (SBRT-boost) for high-risk prostate cancer (HR-PCa)

Cancer/Radiothérapie, 2021
Systematic review for the treatment of high-risk prostate cancer (HR-PCa, D'Amico classification risk system) with external body radiation therapy (EBRT)+brachytherapy-boost (BT-boost) or with EBRT+stereotactic body RT-boost (SBRT-boost). In March 2020, 391 English citations on PubMed matched with search terms "high risk prostate cancer boost ...

Radiosurgical Boost for Primary High-grade Gliomas

Journal of Neuro-Oncology, 2002
The purpose of this study was to retrospectively evaluate the survival of patients with high-grade gliomas treated with external beam radiotherapy with or without radiosurgical boost. From July 1993 to April 1998, 32 patients were selected, 15 of which received radiosurgery.

PV-Based High-Gain Boost Converter

2019
This paper presents a high-gain boost DC–DC converter with a photovoltaic system, which gives high gain at low duty cycle. The Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) technique with MPPT controller is implemented on the converter, which determines the duty cycle of the converter to maintain constant output voltage at a given input voltage.

Harmonic boosting for high performance mixers

2002 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest (Cat. No.02CH37278), 2003
We propose a novel harmonic boosting technique for development of high performance subharmonic mixers. This technique alleviates major problems associated with the use of 4/sup th/ and higher order subharmonic mixers. By utilizing the odd-order harmonics of the main subharmonic LO, we demonstrate significant performance improvements while reducing the ...

A high step up boost converter

2018 International Conference on Power, Signals, Control and Computation (EPSCICON), 2018
Based on the addition of conventional boost converter, a new non-isolated step up converter is proposed. It is mainly used in high voltage application where a high conversion is required. The main feature is the possibility of modularity of the structure. The control and implementation is simple. Also the balance across the capacitor is natural.

High efficiency quadratic boost converter

2012 Twenty-Seventh Annual IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (APEC), 2012
This paper presents a new soft-switched pulse-width modulated (PWM) quadratic boost converter which is suitable for applications with a wide fluctuating DC input voltage range, e.g. photovoltaic and fuel cells systems. The active switches are turned-on under zero-current and zero-voltage switching (ZC-ZVS) and turned-off with zero-voltage switching ...
