ECG compressed sensing method with high compression ratio and dynamic model reconstruction
Measurement, 2021Abstract This paper introduces an alternative method for compressed sensing and reconstruction of ECG that is patient agnostic and offers a high compression ratio. The high compression ratio is achieved by high decimation of the measurement signal and its post requantization, further decreasing the number of bits needed for information transfer.

Structural transformations in metals at high compression ratios
Physics-Uspekhi, 2009As analysis of crystal structure stability against homogeneous deformation is carried out for simple and transition metals with body-centered cubic (bcc) and face-centered cubic (fcc) lattices under pressure. It is shown that at high compression ratios a crystal lattice can turn unstable against shear deformations, leading to new lower-symmetry ...

We propose a simple yet powerful mask design for high-speed, high-pixel count compressive temporal imaging. Simulation and experimental results demonstrate a reconstruction quality of over 30dB when recovering 512 frames of 2K videos from a single snapshot.

A technique for high ratio LZW compression [logic test vector compression]
2003 Design, Automation and Test in Europe Conference and Exhibition, 2003Reduction of both the test suite size and the download time of test vectors is important in today's system-on-a-chip designs. In this paper, a method for compressing the scan test patterns using the LZW algorithm is presented. This method leverages the large number of "don't-cares" in test vectors in order to improve the compression ratio significantly.

High-speed cameras are a great asset to grasp highly dynamic events beyond human perception. However, storage, bandwidth, and cost severely limit its widespread usage. Based on compressed sensing, snapshot compressive imaging appears as an alternative to traditional video capture and compression, though scalability in terms of spatial and temporal ...

THUDDING in High Compression Ratio Engines
SAE Technical Paper Series, 1959<div class="section abstract"><div class="htmlview paragraph">THUD—a noise due to high rates of pressure rise in the absence of surface ignition—is the subject of the investigations described in this paper. The tests were performed on 12/1 compression ratio engines.</div><div class="htmlview paragraph">The authors found that ...

Injection compression molding of high-aspect-ratio nanostructures
Journal of Vacuum Science & Technology B, Nanotechnology and Microelectronics: Materials, Processing, Measurement, and Phenomena, 2011High-aspect-ratio nanostructures were replicated by injection compression molding. The effects of the mold temperature and pattern shape on the degree of replication were investigated using a replication technique for optical disks (digital versatile disks) and a Ni stamper with patterns with a width and height of 200 and 400 nm.

Combustion Chambers For High Compression Ratio D.I. Diesel
SAE Technical Paper Series, 1984<div class="htmlview paragraph">In direct injection Diesel engines having a unit displacement less than 1 liter, the use of high compression ratios (19\20 instead of 16\17) is mandatory for solving cold smoke problems and reducing HC\NOx emissions. The increase of compression ratio however is associated to the increase of black smoke and specific

Talbot array illuminators for high intensity compression ratios
Diffractive Optics and Micro-Optics, 1998The Talbot array illuminator (TAIL) is well known as an efficient diffractive optical element that transforms, in the near field, a spatially coherent monochromatic wave into a large number of bright spots. Its performance is generally measured in terms of the highest achievable intensity compression ratio, i.e., the maximum achievable ratio of the ...

High compression ratio algorithm for power quality signals
2015 IEEE 24th International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE), 2015This paper presents a compression algorithm for power quality (PQ) signals, which does not separate the signal into stationary and transient components. The proposed algorithm is composed of a number of different compression techniques which are combined to improve both compression ratio and total computing time.
