Companding technique for high dynamic range measurements using gafchromic films
We propose a methodology to perform dose measurements using gafchromic films which can span several decades of dose levels. The technique is based on a rescaling approach using different films irradiated at different dose levels.

Beam halo and bunch purity monitoring
Beam halo measurements imply measurements of beam profiles with a very high dynamic range; in transverse and also longitudinal planes. This lesson gives an overview of high dynamic range instruments for beam halo measurements.

Bandwidth of linearized electrooptic modulators [PDF]
Many schemes have been proposed to make high dynamic range analog radio frequency (RF) photonic links by linearizing the transfer function of the link's modulator. This paper studies the degrading effects of finite transit time and optical and electrical

A high dynamic range image sensor with linear response based on asynchronous event detection [PDF]
This paper investigates the potential of an image sensor that combines event-based asynchronous outputs with conventional integration of photocurrents. Pixels voltages can be read out following a traditional approach with a source follower and analog-to ...

ABSTRACT End‐of‐life conversations with adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with cancer rarely occur without the guidance of healthcare professionals. As a part of the ‘Difficult Discussions’ study, focused on palliative care and advance care planning discussions with AYAs with cancer, we investigated the factors that healthcare professionals identify ...

High dynamic range perception with spatially variant exposure [PDF]
In this paper we present a method capable of perceiving high dynamic range scene. The special feature of the method is that it changes the integration time of the imager on the pixel level.

Defining Roles in Pediatric Palliative Care: Perspectives From Oncology and Palliative Care Teams
ABSTRACT Background Early integration of pediatric palliative care (PPC) is associated with improved symptom management, quality of life, and healthcare utilization for children with cancer. Despite this, variation persists in how PPC is understood, operationalized, and integrated within pediatric oncology programs. In particular, ambiguity surrounding

ABSTRACT Background Survivors of childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) often exhibit early deficits in muscle and movement competence, which can compromise long‐term health. Integrative neuromuscular training (INT), a multifaceted approach combining fundamental movement activities with strength exercises, may help address these deficits during ...

Robust High-Dynamic-Range Vector Magnetometry via Nitrogen-Vacancy Centers in Diamond
We demonstrate a robust, scale-factor-free vector magnetometer, which uses a closed-loop frequency-locking scheme to simultaneously track Zeeman-split resonance pairs of nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers in diamond.
