The instanton liquid and the axion
The ultimate goal of this thesis is to improve our understanding of the cosmology of axions. Axions couple to QCD instantons and these non-perturbative effects are modeled within the framework of the interacting instanton liquid model (IILM).

Status of lattice calculations of B-meson decays and mixing
The present status of lattice calculations of f_B, B_B and SU(3) flavour breaking ratios such as f_B / f_B is reviewed. Particular attention is devoted to systematic uncertainties, such as those arising from the lack of simulation data for dynamical ...

Spin microscopy with enhanced Wilson lines in the TMD parton densities
: We discuss the possibility of non-minimal gauge invariance of transverse-momentum-dependent parton densities (TMDs) that allows direct access to the spin degrees of freedom of fermion fields entering the operator definition of (quark) TMDs.
