Hi3DGen: High-fidelity 3D Geometry Generation from Images via Normal Bridging
arXiv.orgWith the growing demand for high-fidelity 3D models from 2D images, existing methods still face significant challenges in accurately reproducing fine-grained geometric details due to limitations in domain gaps and inherent ambiguities in RGB images.

This chapter describes three theoretical analyses which shed light on the question as to what was different about the behavior, morphology, or circumstances of our ancestors that allowed our technology and culture to take off in such an extraordinary manner. Here, mathematical modeling has proven extremely insightful, particularly by demonstrating that

Of primary importance in lithography is understanding internal molecular forces, characterized by chemical contrast, which, when uncontrolled, can lead to pattern uncertainty and line edge roughness/line width roughness (LER/LWR). Another key to achieving high-fidelity lithography is to control resist and substrate interaction (or nanoscale affinity ...

Physics Today, 1949
During the Cleveland meeting of the Acoustical Society, the morning of November 6 was devoted to a panel discussion of what constitutes high fidelity reproduction. It was fairly generally agreed that, from an idealistic viewpoint, high fidelity reproduction constitutes bringing to each ear of the listener an exact facsimile of the original sound he ...

Natural language guidance of high-fidelity text-to-speech with synthetic annotations
arXiv.orgText-to-speech models trained on large-scale datasets have demonstrated impressive in-context learning capabilities and naturalness. However, control of speaker identity and style in these models typically requires conditioning on reference speech ...

Alternatives to High-Fidelity Simulation
Anesthesiology Clinics, 2020Simulation-based education improves health care professionals' performance in managing critical events. Limitations to widespread uptake of high-fidelity simulation include barriers related to training, technology, and time. Alternatives to high-fidelity simulation that overcome these barriers include in situ simulation, classroom-based simulation ...

HIGH FIDELITY INTERVAL ASSIGNMENT
International Journal of Computational Geometry & Applications, 2000Quadrilateral meshing algorithms impose certain constraints on the number of intervals or mesh edges of the curves bounding a surface. When constructing a conformal mesh of a collection of adjoining surfaces, the constraints for all of the surfaces must be simultaneously satisfied. These constraints can be formulated as an integer linear program.

Project Starline: A high-fidelity telepresence system
SIGGRAPH Emerging TechnologiesExperience Project Starline, the first photorealistic telepresence system that demonstrably outperforms 2D videoconferencing systems, as measured by participant ratings, meeting recall, and non-verbal behaviors [Lawrence et al. 2021].

Scalable, high-fidelity all-electronic control of trapped-ion qubits
The central challenge of quantum computing is implementing high-fidelity quantum gates at scale. However, many existing approaches to qubit control suffer from a scale-performance trade-off, impeding progress towards the creation of useful devices. Here,

High Fidelity Extended Duration Electroretinograms
Optometry and Vision Science, 1984Virtually all the major advances in vertebrate electroretinogram (ERG) analysis have been made with the use of animal models. Use of human subjects has been avoided largely because of the deleterious effects of many of the techniques used. In the present study, ERG's were recorded from two awake human subjects using direct coupled amplifiers.
