BMI‐1 modulation and trafficking during M phase in diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma
The schematic illustrates BMI‐1 phosphorylation during M phase, which triggers its translocation from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. In cycling cells, BMI‐1 functions within the PRC1 complex to mediate H2A K119 monoubiquitination. Following PTC596‐induced M phase arrest, phosphorylated BMI‐1 dissociates from PRC1 and is exported to the cytoplasm via its

Dapagliflozin prevents methylglyoxal‐induced retinal cell death in ARPE‐19 cells
Diabetic macular oedema is a diabetes complication of the eye, which may lead to permanent blindness. ARPE‐19 are human retinal cells used to study retinal diseases and potential therapeutics. Methylglyoxal is a compound increased in uncontrolled diabetes due to elevated blood glucose.

ABSTRACTExperiments were performed using a new hollow fiber hemofilter. Ultrafiltration rates and whole blood urea clearances were measured in post‐dilution hemofiltration. High ultrafiltration rates were obtained with the new hemofilter. No adverse effects were detected despite filtration fractions above 45%.

Biocompatibility of High-Flux Membranes
The International Journal of Artificial Organs, 1992Standard dialysis with cuprophane membranes is known to stimulate the immune system. As a result of activation of macrophages various interleukins and tumor necrosis factor (TNF) are secreted, presenting further evidence of the poor biocompatibility of cuprophane. We investigated the immunogenic properties of three modern high-flux membranes.

Convection‐enhanced High‐Flux Hemodialysis
Artificial Organs, 2007Abstract: Internal filtration contributes to convective clearance in high‐flux hemodialysis but its contribution is limited by low pressure gradients. Therefore, a modification using a conventional dialyzer was conceived to enhance internal filtration and backfiltration (BF) rates.

High temperature-high flux material testing for solar flux applications
Solar Energy, 1979The performance characteristics of several high temperature, commercially available insulating materials and refractory firebrick exposed to radiant flux densities up to 2.75 MW/m/sup 2/ are evaluated. The tests were performed at the White Sands Solar Furnace, and the information gathered is being used to design thermal protection for personnel and ...

Abstract : Four basic radiant energy sensing concepts were examined for applicability to high flux calorimetry measurement. Calorimeters were cross calibrated using five radiant energy sources. Commercial availability was an important criterion. A Commercial calorimeter with a specially designed and fabricated adapter appears to be an acceptable ...
