Design Guidelines for High-Power and High-Frequency Transformers

open access: yes2019 IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (APEC), 2019
In power electronics, the tendency to increase power and frequency (in the range of several MHz) has become an actual concern and leads to challenging design of the magnetic components. The traditional design methods need to be adapted to this demand, since high frequency effects in the core behavior need to be considered, and parasitic elements play a

Revealing the structure of land plant photosystem II: the journey from negative‐stain EM to cryo‐EM

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Advances in cryo‐EM have revealed the detailed structure of Photosystem II, a key protein complex driving photosynthesis. This review traces the journey from early low‐resolution images to high‐resolution models, highlighting how these discoveries deepen our understanding of light harvesting and energy conversion in plants.

The measurement of very low conductivity and dielectric loss in XLPE cables: A possible method to detect degradation due to thermal aging [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The dielectric response of crosslinked polyethylene (XLPE) insulated, miniature power cables, extruded with inner and outer semicons, was measured over the frequency range 10-4 to 104 Hz at temperatures from 20 to 100 °C.

The simulation of a new high frequency transformer

open access: yesJournal of Energy Systems, 2022
Core losses of transformers motivate many engineers and scientists to design and implement different transformers for their specific aims. Since there exists a growing interest on high frequency applications in today’s world, design and optimization studies of a magnetic fluid core transformer (MFCT), having an easy and cheap production approach in ...

Enteropathogenic E. coli shows delayed attachment and host response in human jejunum organoid‐derived monolayers compared to HeLa cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

Analogue CMOS high-frequency continuouswavelet transform circuit

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1999
A 16-channel analog CMOS high-frequency continuous wavelet transform circuit has been realized. The circuit performs a time-frequency decomposition of a high-frequency input signal. A 100 MHz operating frequency, 45 MHz bandwidth, and 40 mW/channel power dissipation have been achieved using a 0.5 /spl mu/m CMOS process.
