New High-Gain Non-Inverting Buck-Boost Converter

IECON 2021 – 47th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2021
This paper is presenting a new high-gain non-inverting buck-boost converter. The proposed converter has some distinct features such as high step up/down ability, low voltage and current stress on its switching devices. The voltage gain of the proposed converter is double of the traditional buck-boost converter and it is non-inverting.

High Gain DC-DC Converter for Modular Multilevel Converter Applications

2021
Solar photovoltaic (PV) is one of the most emerged and widely used alternative source of energy that can support existing conventional sources of energy used in electrical power generation to a larger extent. At present, grid connected solar PV systems are used extensively, but standalone solar PV system plays a very important role in providing ...

High gain buck-boost matrix converter

2016 IEEE International Conference on Power Electronics, Drives and Energy Systems (PEDES), 2016
Boosting factor of power converter is a critical requirement for high voltage low power applications. There are many extended DC-DC converter topologies available for boosting output voltage beyond the traditional boost converters. However, for direct AC-AC conversion boosting factor of four can be achieved using single inductive element or impedance ...

Design and analysis of a high gain boost converter

2014 IEEE International Conference on Power Electronics, Drives and Energy Systems (PEDES), 2014
A high gain boost converter is proposed in this paper. This converter belongs to two switch topology and is capable of giving a higher voltage gain at moderate duty ratios. Although it is two switch topology, but they are controlled synchronously and hence single pulse width modulated signal is sufficient enough to control the power processing. Through

High gain resonant boost converter for PV micro-converter system

2016 IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition (ECCE), 2016
This paper presents an isolated high-gain topology which employs resonant boost converter with coupled inductor or boost transformer for the Photovoltaic (PV) micro-converter system. The given configuration has the features of resonant soft switching, galvanic isolation, high gain and low switching losses.

A Novel Topology for Bidirectional Converter with High Buck Boost Gain

Journal of Circuits, Systems and Computers, 2020
In non-isolated bidirectional DC-DC converters (NIBIDC), voltage output of buck/boost mode is incongruous at lower and higher end due to the existing gain. In this paper, a novel NIBIDC is designed in such a way that it enhances the gain in both buck and boost mode of operation.

Comparative Study of Different High-Gain Converter

2019
A DC–DC converter with high voltage gain is advantageous in most of the industrial applications such as uninterruptable power supply, vehicular system and conversion of low output renewable energy resources. Many DC–DC converters with high voltage gain are already available, but there are some issues need to be addressed like complexity of circuit ...

High-Efficiency Bidirectional DC/DC Converter with High-Gain

2010 Asia-Pacific Power and Energy Engineering Conference, 2010
A bidirectional converter for electromechanical brake/the recycling of power generation energy is proposed in this paper. The gain of the converter is high. Since the converter use the technique of passive lossless buffer and synchronous rectification, the main switches achieve the technique of soft switching.

Modified SEPIC Converter With High Voltage Gain and ZVS Characteristics

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs, 2019
With the increase in demand for high voltage gain characteristics, traditional Boost circuit is no longer suitable because of the extreme duty ratio. In this brief, with the integration of two diodes, three capacitors, and a transformer, a 1 MHz transformer-based modified SEPIC circuit is presented. Planer magnetic components are adopted, and therefore

A Modified SEPIC Converter With High Static Gain for Renewable Applications

IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2011
A high step-up DC-DC converter based on the modified SEPIC converter is presented in this paper. The proposed topology presents low switch voltage and high efficiency for low input voltage and high output voltage applications. Two alternatives with and without magnetic coupling are analyzed. The magnetic coupling allows to increase the static gain with
