Device‐Scale Nanochannel Evaporator for High Heat Flux Dissipation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, 2023
High heat flux values in thin film evaporation experiments are typically attained based on short wicking distance, ranging from tens to hundreds of micrometers between the meniscus and the liquid reservoir, thus making such devices vulnerable to quick ...

One-Dimensional Heat Conduction Inverse Modelling of Heat Flux Generated at Tool-Chip Interface in Cutting Inconel 718

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Inconel 718 has been taken as the difficult-to-machine material for manufacturing aerial turbine disk due to its superior high-temperature resistance and high hardness. Massive heat flux generated at the tool-chip interface, and high tool temperature can

Micro-structured tungsten, a high heat flux pulse proof material

open access: yesNuclear Materials and Energy, 2020
Micro structured tungsten is a new approach to address one of the main issues of tungsten as high heat flux (HHF) plasma facing material (PFM), which is its brittleness and its propensity to crack formation under pulsed, ELM like, heat loads (Loewenhoff ...

The heat flux near the contact line of the droplets on heated foil

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2016
The heat flux distribution near the contact lines of one or several (3) drops on a horizontal heated constantan foil is investigated. The temperature distribution of the bottom foil surface was measured by the FLIR infrared (IR) camera.

High mass flux flow boiling and critical heat flux in microscale

open access: yesInternational Journal of Thermal Sciences, 2013
This study explores critical heat flux in flow boiling of de-ionized water at high mass fluxes in ~249 µm and ~494 µm inner diameter tubes, which are heated along short heated lengths (2-10 mm). Ultra high heat flux cooling (>10000 W/cm2) is achieved in micro scale at high mass fluxes (>10000 kg/m2s).
