High performance rotational vibration isolator
Review of Scientific Instruments, 2013We present a new rotational vibration isolator with an extremely low resonant frequency of 0.055 ± 0.002 Hz. The isolator consists of two concentric spheres separated by a layer of water and joined by very soft silicone springs. The isolator reduces rotation noise at all frequencies above its resonance which is very important for airborne mineral ...

Device isolation in high-density LOCOS-isolated CMOS
IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices, 1987Leakage paths between n- and p-channel devices in high packing density CMOS circuits fabricated using standard LOCOS isolation are investigated. Experimental results and the results of two-dimensional numerical modeling are presented for both a conventional n-well and a retrograde n-well technology.

High-frequency vibration isolation
Journal of Sound and Vibration, 1966Abstract Concepts applicable to high-frequency vibration isolation are reviewed with the primary intent of providing insight into the important phenomena. Generalized expressions for transmissibility and isolation effectiveness are presented, which are applicable to isolation of one point of a linear system and which take into account isolator mass ...

High-power resonance isolators
Proceedings of the IEE Part B: Electronic and Communication Engineering, 1962A method is given by which resonance-absorption isolators may be designed to handle any required mean power level and load mismatch without deterioration in performance. The method is derived from a study of the properties of small discs of ferrite in X-band waveguide at high mean powers and of the thermal conditions in the ferrite.

High isolation MIMO antenna for high speed communication
2014 USNC-URSI Radio Science Meeting (Joint with AP-S Symposium), 2014Ubiquitous use of handheld devices has put a tremendous strain on the available bandwidth of communication. The scarcity of spectrum has rapidly shifted the modern systems towards multiple input and multiple output systems (MIMO). The development of MIMO antennas has attracted significant attention in literature.

Isolation and properties of high molecular weight heparin
Thrombosis Research, 1981Abstract A heparin fraction comprising the highest molecular weight components of beef-lung heparin preparations was isolated by chromatography on Biogel P-100. This fraction, all of which is highly active in accelerating the inhibition of thrombin by antithrombin III, includes material with considerably greater activities than previously reported ...

Isolation of high quality RNA from Streptomyces
Journal of Microbiological Methods, 2004Several molecular techniques require high quality RNA, completely free of DNA. Standard methods to isolate total RNA from Streptomyces spp. are based on the application of a 'Modified Kirby Mix' [Practical Streptomyces Genetics. The John Innes Foundation, Norwich, pp. 613].

Testing and Isolation of High-Purity Restriction Endonucleases
Applied Biochemistry and Microbiology, 2002A new method of testing restriction nucleases is proposed. This method is based on high-temperature treatment of crude cell extracts. Disrupted cells were heated at 50-60 degrees C, centrifuged, and assayed for restrictases. This method provides the opportunity for screening new enzymes in microbial strains enriched with nonspecific restrictases.
