Isolation of High Oxygen Affinity Hfmoclobins

Hemoglobin, 1977
This paper describes a method for isolating high oxygen affinity hemoglobins. It involves the selective derivatisation of the cysteine residue at position 93 in the beta chain. The iodoacetamide derivative of the high oxygen affinity hemoglobin was separated from the more negatively charged iodoacetic acid derivative of HbA on DEAE-Sephadex. The method

“Isolated” Low High-Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol

Annals of Pharmacotherapy, 1997
OBJECTIVE: To present information on the function, structure, and importance of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and to evaluate the current literature regarding the controversy of managing patients with an “isolated” low HDL-C concentration.

Device isolation in high-density LOCOS-isolated CMOS

IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices, 1987
Leakage paths between n- and p-channel devices in high packing density CMOS circuits fabricated using standard LOCOS isolation are investigated. Experimental results and the results of two-dimensional numerical modeling are presented for both a conventional n-well and a retrograde n-well technology.

High-Isolation XX-Polar Antenna

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2012
A new configuration of the dual-band and dual-polarized antenna is presented, which is fed by aperture coupling for the existing mobile communication systems working over 870-960 MHz (GSM) and 1710-2180 MHz (DCS/UMTS) frequency band. XX-Polar antenna stands for an antenna with dual-band and dual linear slant polarization.

High-isolation single-taper filters

SPIE Proceedings, 1991
The interferornetric properties of an abrupt nonadiabatic taper in an optical fiber can be used to create an all fiber wavelength filter. To date the maximum attenuation possible from a single taper has typically been 4 to 5 dB. In this paper we report the realization of single taper filters with significantly unproved performance.

High isolation sub-harmonic mixer

1999 SBMO/IEEE MTT-S International Microwave and Optoelectronics Conference, 2003
A thin-film prototype of a sub-harmonic diode up-converter mixer has been developed, in order to investigate the potential for achieving high 2LO to RF isolation at the circuit output port. The design, centered at 5.5 GHz LO frequency, associated with 850 MHz IF, included diode parameter extraction and simulation of the proposed circuit topology ...

High-power resonance isolators

Proceedings of the IEE Part B: Electronic and Communication Engineering, 1962
A method is given by which resonance-absorption isolators may be designed to handle any required mean power level and load mismatch without deterioration in performance. The method is derived from a study of the properties of small discs of ferrite in X-band waveguide at high mean powers and of the thermal conditions in the ferrite.

Novel high-isolation FET switches

IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 1996
This paper describes novel high-isolation monolithic microwave/millimeter-wave integrated circuit (MMIC) field-effect transistor (FET) switches that have higher isolation characteristics than conventional switches without much insertion loss degradation. The newly developed switches consist of series/shunt FETs and T-shaped R-C-R circuit.

High-Isolation X-Polar Antenna

IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2010
Antennas with dual linear slant polarization are necessary for modern personal communication base station applications. X-Polar antenna stands for an antenna with dual linear slant polarization. The most significant feature of the proposed antenna is high isolation between two different polarizations.
