Cryptochrome and PAS/LOV proteins play intricate roles in circadian clocks where they act as both sensors and mediators of protein–protein interactions. Their ubiquitous presence in signaling networks has positioned them as targets for small‐molecule therapeutics. This review provides a structural introduction to these protein families.

Two-loop HTL pressure at finite temperature and chemical potential
We calculate the two-loop pressure of a plasma of quarks and gluons at finite temperature and chemical potential using the hard thermal loop perturbation theory (HTLpt) reorganization of finite temperature/density quantum chromodynamics.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Effect of Polarization on the O2(g), Au/YSZ Electrode System
The oxygen electrode reaction at the interface gold/yttria stabilized zirconia (YSZ) was investigated at moderate temperatures of 500 and 600°C under ambient air condition, with emphasis put on the comparative analysis for effect of anodic and cathodic ...

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Influence of Surface Roughness of YSZ on Polarization of Pt Electrode Deposited on the Electrolyte
The influence of surface roughness of YSZ on polarization of Pt electrode deposited on the electrolyte was investigated in ambient air at 600°C, with emphasis put on the comparative analysis for the anodic and cathodic polarization of Pt electrode ...

PARP inhibitors are used to treat a small subset of prostate cancer patients. These studies reveal that PARP1 activity and expression are different between European American and African American prostate cancer tissue samples. Additionally, different PARP inhibitors cause unique and overlapping transcriptional changes, notably, p53 pathway upregulation.

We use the linear sigma model coupled to quarks, together with a plausible location of the critical end point (CEP), to study the chiral symmetry transition in the QCD phase diagram. We compute the effective potential at finite temperature and density up
