Characterization of the pressure-induced phase transition of metallization for MoTe2 under hydrostatic and non-hydrostatic conditions

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2019
This study reported a pressure-induced metallization for molybdenum tellurium under different pressure environments up to ∼25.9 GPa through a series of experiments and first-principles theoretical calculations.

Effect of Thermoelastic Properties of the Pyrope-Almandine Solid Solutions on the Entrapment Pressure of Garnet-Related Elastic Geobarometer

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science, 2022
The pyrope (Prp)–almandine (Alm) solid solutions are the most fundamental garnet components on the Earth, and both the quartz inclusions in garnet (QuiG) barometry and the garnet inclusions in diamond barometry need to be constrained by the thermoelastic

High Pressure and Road to Room Temperature Superconductivity

open access: yes, 2018
High pressure serves as a path finding tool towards novel structures, including those with very high Tc.The superconductivity in sulfur hydrides with record value (203 K) is caused by the phonon mechanism.

Pressure shift of the superconducting T_c of LiFeAs

open access: yes, 2009
The effect of hydrostatic pressure on the superconductivity in LiFeAs is investigated up to 1.8 GPa. The superconducting transition temperature, T_c, decreases linearly with pressure at a rate of 1.5 K/GPa.

Electrochemical Characterization of Anodic Oxide Film on TC11 Alloy in Sulfate Solution at High Temperature and High Pressure

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2019
The oxide films studied in this work were prepared by potentiostatic anodic oxidation of TC11 alloy in 0.01 M sodium sulfate solutions at different anodizing potentials at 300 °C and 10 MPa. This work aimed to study the effect of film formation potential

Arsenic release from arsenopyrite weathering in acid mine drainage: Kinetics, transformation, and effect of biochar

open access: yesEnvironment International, 2022
Arsenopyrite (FeAsS) oxidative dissolution provides an important source for the occurrence of high arsenic in acid mine drainage (AMD). Biochar is a potent material that can dramatically sequestrate an array of heavy metals in water.

Two-loop HTL pressure at finite temperature and chemical potential

open access: yes, 2013
We calculate the two-loop pressure of a plasma of quarks and gluons at finite temperature and chemical potential using the hard thermal loop perturbation theory (HTLpt) reorganization of finite temperature/density quantum chromodynamics.

Relaxation Effects in the Transition Temperature of Superconducting HgBa2CuO4+delta

open access: yes, 1999
In previous studies on a number of under- and overdoped high temperature superconductors, including YBa_{2}Cu_{3}O_{7-y} and Tl_{2}Ba_{2}CuO_{6+\delta}, the transition temperature T_c has been found to change with time in a manner which depends on the ...
