Electrical anisotropy has been broadly observed by magnetotelluric (MT) surveys in the continental crust. It is proposed to be caused by rock microfabrics, lithologic layering, or oriented alignment of fluid or melt in rocks, whereas the validity of ...

We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Phonons and structures of tetracene polymorphs at low temperature and high pressure
Crystals of tetracene have been studied by means of lattice phonon Raman spectroscopy as a function of temperature and pressure. Two different phases (polymorphs I and II) have been obtained, depending on sample preparation and history.

Superconductivity and hybrid soft modes in TiSe$_2$ [PDF]
The competition between superconductivity and other ground states of solids is one of the challenging topics in condensed matter physics. Apart from high-temperature superconductors [1,2] this interplay also plays a central role in the layered transition-

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Viscosity measurements at high temperature and high pressure: A novel technique [PDF]
The extensive numerical modelling of transport phenomena was performed for the melt growth of mercury cadmium telluride. To increase the fidelity of modelling the kinematic viscosity of liquid Hg(1-x)Cd(x)Te was determined at various compositions in the ...

Swirl-can combustor segment [PDF]
Combustor produces uniform circumferential and radial combustor exit temperature profiles and high combustion efficiency at high temperature loads. Absence of diluent air entry ports eliminates stress concentration points, low pressure fuel alleviates ...

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.
