High-repetition-rate ferroelectric-cathode gyrotron
Applied Physics Letters, 2001The intensive research on ferroelectric electron-emission mechanisms in the last decade has resulted in a wide understanding of the physics and characteristics of this plasma-assisted electron source. Nevertheless, practical devices employing this cathode were hardly introduced.

High-repetition-rate copper iodide laser
Applied Physics Letters, 1974Quasicontinuous pulsed laser output at 5106 and 5782 Å is reported from 600°C copper iodide discharges at repetition rates near 8 kHz. In single pulses 35 μJ cm−3 has been observed, indicating that 0.28 W cm−3 volumetric power density can be achieved.

High repetition rate side looking SONAR
Oceans '02 MTS/IEEE, 2005Side scan (or side looking) sonar systems are widely used in small object search and detection surveys. Systems with long range (>300 M swath) capabilities are restricted in their ability to detect and resolve small targets at boat speeds in excess of 5 knots. Chirp technology provides for side looking cross track resolution of a few centimeters.

Cascade high repetition rate femtosecond amplifier
Annual Meeting Optical Society of America, 1989We describe a multistage, copper vapor laser pumped, high repetition rate amplifier for femtosecond optical pulses using a compact design. Increased efficiency compared with earlier designs allows two dye cell stages to be pumped by a single copper vapor laser.

High-repetition rate quantum key distribution
SPIE Proceedings, 2007The desire for quantum-generated cryptographic key for broadband encryption services has motivated the development of high-transmission-rate single-photon quantum key distribution (QKD) systems. The maximum operational transmission rate of a QKD system is ultimately limited by the timing resolution of the single-photon detectors and recent advances ...

Phosphor thermometry at high repetition rates
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2013Phosphor thermometry is a semi-invasive surface temperature measurement technique utilizing the luminescence properties of thermographic phosphors. Typically these ceramic materials are coated onto the object of interest and are excited by a short UV laser pulse.

High repetition-rate liquid cooled capacitors
The 31st IEEE International Conference on Plasma Science, 2004. ICOPS 2004. IEEE Conference Record - Abstracts., 2004Summary form only given. Capacitors that must operate with a high repetition rate and high energy generate heat, which detracts from electrical performance. The traditional technique of using air on the exterior of a capacitor is modest compared to liquid cooling applied to the interior of a capacitor.

High repetition rate compact Marx generator
Digest of Technical Papers. PPC-2003. 14th IEEE International Pulsed Power Conference (IEEE Cat. No.03CH37472), 2004The charging of a compact generator has been accomplished with the network suggested by O'Loughin et al. [2001]. The research for the suitable ceramic magnet cores was carried out for square-shaped output pulses lasting 1000 ns in duration. The generator is used to broaden our knowledge in the radio frequency (RF) generation and supplement the data ...

High Power/Energy High Repetition Rate Lasers
2018Currently, in technological processes with high average power (over 1 kW) lasers, advantage is taken only of sources operating in two regimes-continuous and pulse-periodic (P-P) with a repetition rate from a few to hundreds of Hz at pulse durations within tens to thousands of microseconds and even milliseconds.

High Repetition Rate Gated Photomultiplier
1980A high repetition rate, high voltage pulse generator was built and was used to gate a photomultiplier for the detection of relatively high levels of radiation. A unique design has been developed which is capable of a much higher repetition rate than any system described in the literature.
