High-resolution range profile reconstruction method for terahertz FMCW radar
Applied Optics, 2021Terahertz (THz) testing, by the frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) system, is often hampered by the limited range resolution. Thus, in this paper, a software method is proposed to reconstruct the range profile, yielding significant improvements in range resolution and in signal parameter extraction.

On variability in high resolution range profiles
2013 International Conference on Radar, 2013Radar target classification often uses feature sets derived from high range resolution profiles as an input to a classifier. However, rage profiles typically exhibit variability that is subsequently passed on to the feature vectors used in classification.

Scatterer stability in high range resolution profiles
2013 IEEE Radar Conference (RadarCon13), 2013Radar target classification typically uses feature sets derived from high range resolution profiles as an input to a classifier. However, such feature sets, when projected in feature space, show both substantial overlap for different targets and substantial variability for a single target. This results in degraded classification performance, as targets

Polarization identification of high resolution range profiles
Proceedings of the IEEE 1995 National Aerospace and Electronics Conference. NAECON 1995, 2002In this paper, a novel effective polarization identification method is presented for vehicle sized ground target identification application. The method uses wide band FMCW orthogonal duel-polarization technology to obtain the degraded PSM of each scattering center in high resolution range profile.

A method of range measurement based on high resolution range profile
2017 11th European Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EUCAP), 2017In conventional methods, the weighted mean range of the scattering centers on the high resolution range proflle(HRRP) is assumed as the range between the target center and radar. However, this assumption is not reasonable because the scattering center with the maximum amplitude may not locate at the center of the target.

The Range Alignment Algorithm for High-Resolution Range Profile Based on Image Segmentation
2016 International Conference on Identification, Information and Knowledge in the Internet of Things (IIKI), 2016Aiming at the problem of the difficulty in the range alignment of HRRP because of more than one target in the window of radar image, this paper propose a alignment method for multiple targets in the target group by using an image segmentation method. First, we accumulate the HRRP of the target, and get the HRRP process diagram.

Bistatic high-range resolution profiles of wobbling targets
IET International Radar Conference 2015, 2015This study considers how to utilize the high range resolution profiles (HRRPs) of wobbling targets for feature extraction. The movement model of wobbling targets and the bistatic HRRP model are introduced firstly. Based on the bistatic HRRPs of the wobbling target simulated via the bistatic scattering coefficients obtained via electromagnetic ...

Properties of high-resolution range profiles
Optical Engineering, 2002Wideband radar can obtain much target information due to its high-range resolution. Because its size is smaller than the resolution of conventional radar, for an airplane, it can be regarded as a point. However, for wideband radar with a bandwidth of several hundred megahertz, the range resolution is less than a meter, and airplane echoes of one ...

RADAR TARGET RECOGNITION BASED ON PARAMETERIZED HIGH RESOLUTION RANGE PROFILES
International Journal of Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence, 2000A new scheme of radar target recognition based on parameterized high resolution range profiles (PHRRP) is presented in this paper. A novel criterion called generalized-weighted-normalized correlation (GWNC) is proposed for measuring the similarity between PHRRP's.
