High sensitivity radon emanation measurements
Applied Radiation and Isotopes, 2009The presented radon detection technique employs miniaturized ultra-low background proportional counters. (222)Rn samples are purified, mixed with a counting gas and filled into a counter using a special glass vacuum line. The absolute sensitivity of the system is estimated to be 40 microBq (20 (222)Rn atoms).

Methylation-sensitive high-resolution melting
Nature Protocols, 2008The base composition of PCR products derived from sodium bisulfite-modified templates is methylation dependent. Hence, methylated and unmethylated, PCR products show different melting profiles when subjected to thermal denaturation. The methylation-sensitive high-resolution melting (MS-HRM) protocol is based on the comparison of the melting profiles of

High sensitive airborne radioiodine monitor
Applied Radiation and Isotopes, 2013Airborne radioiodine monitoring includes a problem in that commercial radioactive gas monitors have inadequate sensitivity. To solve this problem, we designed a highly sensitive monitoring system. The higher counting efficiency and lower background made it possible to perform the low-level monitoring. The characteristics of the system were investigated
