Hunting motion of high-speed emu during cross-line operation: Mechanism and countermeasures
Proceedings of the Institution of mechanical engineers. Part F, journal of rail and rapid transit, 2023During the operation of the Chinese 250 km/h-level EMU, hunting occurs when the EMU crosses from Line B to Line A. Numerous tests and simulations have been conducted to investigate the mechanism of this phenomenon.

Investigation of low damped carbody oscillation for Korean high-speed EMU experimental train
Proceedings of the Institution of mechanical engineers. Part F, journal of rail and rapid transit, 2021This study describes the low damped carbody oscillations of the HEMU-430X, a high-speed electric-multiple-unit experimental train of Korea. The HEMU-430X had already undergone a kind of hunting problem in the test period, but it was effectively ...

The Impact of Gear Meshing in High-Speed EMU Gearboxes on Fatigue Strength of the Gearbox Housing
TechnologiesAs high-speed electric multiple units (EMUs) advance in speed and complexity, quasi-static design methods may underestimate the fatigue risks associated with high-frequency dynamic excitations.

Vibration characteristics of High-speed EMU considering car body structural vibration mode
2021 4th World Conference on Mechanical Engineering and Intelligent Manufacturing (WCMEIM), 2021In order to research the vibration characteristics of high-speed EMU under different typical excitation, taking a aluminum alloy body of a certain high-speed EMU as an example, the finite element model of car body is established, then the rigid-flexible ...

High speed EMU modeling based on the measured data
2009 International Conference on Sustainable Power Generation and Supply, 2009Based on a large amount of actual measured data on railway line, this paper presents a modeling method using curve-fitting and probabilistic density functions for a high speed EMU. This method better simulates the real world and can be used to build a rapid data exchange between the trains and the traction power system simulation.
