Low Cost Communication for High Speed Railway
Wireless Personal Communications, 2019The demand for wireless communication has widely increased in high-speed railway (HSR). The people demand high capacity and efficient communication independent of their location and speed. As the HSR provides more convenience to people, so the main attention is given to provide the reliable communication inside the train. It is the challenging task due

Spatial modulation in high speed railway communication
2013 International Conference on Connected Vehicles and Expo (ICCVE), 2013Communication in high speed railway (HSR) is a critical issue which could be used for traffic control and guarantee safety. Unfortunately, channel condition of HSR communication is extremely time-varying due to large Doppler effect from high mobility and fast environments alternating. In this paper, spatial modulation is introduced to HSR communication

Location assistant beamforming for high speed railway
2012 8th International Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing Conference (IWCMC), 2012In this paper, we introduce an algorithm of location assistant direction of departure (DOD) based beamforming scheme which is suitable for wireless communication in highspeed railway (HSR). The beamforming weights are calculated according to the locations of mobile station (MS) and base station (BS) together with the topology of multiple transmit ...

Bowstring bridges for high-speed railway transportation
IABSE Symposium, Antwerp 2003: Structures for High-Speed Railway Transportation, 2003The Italian Railway Transportation Organization (RFI) is presently planning to replace existing traditional steel bridges with bowstring bridges designed according to high-speed requirements. This study is focused on structural types and design rules, with the aim to fulfill the current requirements on fatigue and passenger comfort.
