Dynamic Analysis of a High-Speed Train
IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2008Studies in modern high-speed traction need to develop detailed equations to formulate a complete electromechanical model that represents the dynamic coupling of electrical and mechanical phenomena. Starting from Lagrange and Park theories, and after recalling the general criteria for the setup of the two distinct mechanical and electrical subsystems ...

TCP Noordwijk for High-Speed Trains
2009 First International Conference on Advances in Satellite and Space Communications, 2009In a scenario where people need to travel frequently for their business and leisure, spending a lot of time on high-speed trains, airplanes or ships, it is necessary to provide them a broadband Internet connection while moving. Broadband satellite systems, for their characteristics in terms of coverage and flexibility, can be the best solution for this

Noisiness of high speed trains
Journal of Sound and Vibration, 1977The noise signatures of three types of French trains (Aerotrain I 80, fast train (Rhodanien) and turbotrain) were presented in the laboratory to 24 persons who gave annoyance scores to each of them. The aim of this study was to compare the resulting comfort indices with some acoustic characteristics.

The Influence of the Train Speed on Vibrations Due to High Speed Trains
2008This paper deals with the influence of the train speed on vibrations induced by high speed trains. In the past 10 years, free field as well as track vibrations have been measured at several sites on the Belgian part of the European high speed rail network.

High-speed train scheduling and rescheduling models
2020 IEEE 15th International Conference of System of Systems Engineering (SoSE), 2020This paper introduces two optimization-based approaches for the scheduling and rescheduling problems on the high-speed railway network. The first scheduling model defines the best schedules for a set of high-speed trains taking into account costumers’ demand, passengers carrying capacity of trains and the priority of the trains to cover the rail ...

AERODYNAMIC EFFECTS IN PROXIMITY TO HIGH-SPEED TRAINS
Applied and Industrial Mathematics in Italy, 2005The effects of aerodynamic actions acting on antinoise barriers produced in proximity to high-speed trains are considered. Because of certain accidents noticed on the german high-speed railway, the problem has been developed. A mathematical model has been carried out for specific typologies of barriers. The input applied to this model is represented by
