Dimensionality of high temperature superconductivity in oxides
Physica Scripta, 1989Many models have been proposed to account for the high temperature superconductivity observed in oxide systems. Almost all of these models proposed are based on the uncoupled low dimensional carrier Cu-O layers of the oxides. Results of several experiments are presented and discussed.

High temperature oxidation of Ni2AlTi
Journal of Materials Science, 1989The isothermal oxidation process in bulk and powdered Ni2AlTi (L21 structure) has been studied in the temperature range of 600 to 1200° C in air by means of X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. At 900 and 1200° C, the transient oxides, NiO and TiO2 were formed in the initial stage on the outer surface.

High-temperature oxidation of rhodium
Oxidation of Metals, 1990The oxidation kinetics of Rh were measured in air at 1 atm. in the temperature range 600–1000°C. The oxidation weight gain proceeds logarithmically at the lower temperatures (600°C, 650°C) followed by a transition to power law behavior at the higher temperatures (≥800°C). The logarithmic growth kinetics result from thickening of a hexagonal Rh2O3 scale.
