High-temperature oxidation of MoSi2

Journal of Materials Science, 2010
Oxidation behavior of MoSi2 was investigated in air over the temperature range of 1400–1700 °C. Spallation of the SiO2 scale did not occur at any temperature, and Mo5Si3 formation did not happen below 1700 °C. A change in the rate-controlling mechanism was detected within the temperature range of this study.

The high temperature oxidation of tetrafluoroethylene

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1977
The high temperature oxidation of tetrafluoroethylene (C2F4) in excess argon has been studied behind reflected shock waves. Kinetic data were obtained for three fuel/oxidant ratios and all experiments were carried out in the temperature and total pressure ranges 1670–2500 °K and 4.0–6.9 atm, respectively.

Effect of Al content on high temperature oxidation resistance of AlxCoCrCuFeNi high entropy alloys (x=0, 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2)

Vacuum, 2019
The oxidation behavior of AlxCoCrCuFeNi (x = 0, 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2) high entropy alloys are discussed in this work. Five kinds of HEAs with nominal compositions of are prepared by vacuum arc melting and subjected to isothermal oxidation at 1000 °C for 100 h ...

High temperature oxidation behavior of aluminized Haynes 230

Corrosion Science, 2020
The effect of reactive air aluminizing (RAA) on the high temperature oxidation behavior of the H230 superalloy is studied at 850 °C for 600 hours. Mass gain values are measured and microstructure is studied by XRD, SEM, and EDX.

The oxidation of vanadium at high temperatures

Journal of the Less Common Metals, 1965
Abstract The oxidation of vanadium has been studied in the temperature range 700°–;1050°C. On admission of oxygen to the metal, considerable heat is evolved which at higher oxygen pressures may be sufficient to produce a self-maintaining “burning” reaction. The pressure required to produce burning decreases with increasing temperature.

High temperature oxidation of acetaldehyde

Symposium (International) on Combustion, 1977
The gas phase kinetics of the first stage of acetaldehyde oxidation were studied from 1030°K to 1115°K in a turbulent flow reactor which permits accurate determination of the spatial distribution of stable species. Experiments were performed in nitrogen at atmospheric pressure containing 0.1–0.75% acetaldehyde and 0.16–8% oxygen.

Microstructure and high temperature oxidation behavior of the Al2O3 CPED coating on TiAl alloy

Journal of Alloys and Compounds, 2020
Al2O3 coating was fabricated on the surface of γ-TiAl alloy via cathodic plasma electrolytic deposition (CPED) technique. The microstructure and the composition of the coating were elaborately characterized. The results revealed that, the uniform coating
